00:01It's the first time in more than a decade the ACT Government has offered a reward for
00:06missing persons cases, sparking renewed hope from family members that they may receive
00:11answers about the disappearance of their loved ones.
00:14The cases eligible for the rewards are those of Elizabeth Hereford, Megan Mulquiney, Karen
00:20Rowland, Troy Forsyth and David O'Boy, who went missing or were killed between 1971
00:27and 2012.
00:29Karen Rowland disappeared in 1971 on the night of the Royal Canberra show.
00:34She was 20 years old and five months pregnant.
00:37Her body was found three months later at a forest in Canberra's east.
00:42Her brother Steve Rowland says a breakthrough in the case would be like winning the lottery.
00:46He hopes the reward will encourage someone with information to get it off their chest.
00:51It may be so minute or so small that the amount of information they have, but it could mean
00:56everything to us and the family.
00:58Police have never found the driver of a van who is believed to have killed Troy Forsyth
