The Fortune She Threw Away
Caleb Grant, a construction site project manager, has partnered with food vendor Diane Ward for two years to supply meals. After her business booms, Diane dismisses the worksite contract as low-grade and ends their cooperation. Caleb awards the million-dollar catering deal to a hardworking couple at the neighboring stall. Diane tries to sell high-end meals but falls victim to a scam and loses all her savings. She begs Caleb to resume their partnership, only to be rejected.
