00:08This is my first ever weekly vlog that I'm going to attempt.
00:11The reason I've decided to start vlogging is because I'm actually on the bullet train
00:16or like Shinkansen right now.
00:17Going to Shizuoka, a place called Numazu in Shizuoka, which is like an hour from Tokyo.
00:24So yeah, I thought this could be quite an exciting adventure to bring you guys along with me on.
00:29I thought this week could be quite eventful so I thought I'd vlog it for you guys.
00:32So the reason we're going to Shizuoka is because JR are currently doing a collaboration with Love Live.
00:38The collaboration is that if you go on the JR Shinkansen or bullet train from Tokyo to Numazu,
00:45you can get a free Love Live keychain.
00:47And I think there's probably some like Love Live collaboration at Numazu too, is there?
00:51Yeah, it's to get people to go to Numazu basically, but it's like a Love Live collaboration.
00:55You may be wondering, how can you prove you've been on the Shinkansen?
00:58I guess like tickets would do it, but no, it's more exciting than that.
01:02So we've just found the website that you have to get like the proof that you've been on the Shinkansen
01:07to get the keychain and it measures your speed as a way to prove you've actually been on the bullet
01:13train,
01:14which is so fun.
01:14So we're doing it now.
01:17Imagine if it just doesn't do it the whole way.
01:19Maybe we're meant to leave it on for ages.

03:08I didn't realize.
03:09Atami is quite like a popular place near the sea with like onsens and stuff.
03:13So yeah, I think a lot of people come here like on the way or maybe on the way back.
03:18But yeah, it's really countryside vibes.
03:21And it's raining too, so it's giving kind of Ghibli vibes, which I like.
03:24Okay guys, so we're now in, what's it called here?

03:32It's all the Love Life collab.
03:36This is just the information center on the second floor.

04:10And this is like how tickets look like when you ride on JR trains.

04:37Like apparently there's a Love Life themed manhole.
04:40And also Nakami Sedori with like loads of shops,
04:43because there might be some stuff over there as well.
04:45If anyone else is a wavy slash frizzy haired girl,
04:47they will know the struggles of living in Japan.
04:50The humidity and like, it's like slightly raining.
04:54My hair just turns into a frizz ball, so that's great.
04:58Guys, we found the manhole.
05:00So we had to ask someone in the station.
05:02And yeah, she told us it was like to the left.
05:04And we found it.
05:05It's like near the like bus stoppy area.
05:08Yeah, cute.
05:10I know that like manholes are like a thing in Japan.
05:13And like a lot of people go around like trying to find all the special ones.
05:16Like there's a lot of Pokemon ones and stuff.
05:18But I've never been that into it.
05:20There's a new Love Life one if you're interested.
05:32There's so many other like shops and stuff that are doing collabs with Love Life.
05:36So this is like the Love Life town.
05:39But yeah, if you like Love Life, come to Numazoo.
05:41Because it's only like one hour from Tokyo too.
05:55So yeah.
05:56Guys, we've come to a local sushi shop.
05:59We just had a look around all the shops.
06:00Like I think it was called Nakamise Dori.
06:03So that was cool.
06:04And we were looking for somewhere that's only in Numazoo.
06:07And this sushi says Numazoo on it.
06:09So we've come here.
06:10And obviously I'm vegan.
06:11I've said that before.
06:12But sushi places in Japan are kind of a good vegan hack.
06:16Because they usually have like cucumber rolls and stuff like that.
06:19How cute are these teacups?
06:21I'm literally obsessed.
06:23A really exciting thing is that they had two types of tea.
06:26So they had normal green tea, which is this one.
06:29And also Genmaicha.
06:31Genmaicha is roasted rice.
06:34So it's roasted rice green tea or normal green tea.
06:37Obviously I went for the roasted rice one.
06:39So I love that.
06:40It's quite expensive.

06:51I just had one of these wasabi rolls.

07:59And I think it's like retro vibes because it's all decorated with like really retro 80 stuff,

10:07But yeah, today I'm actually going to a Game Boy workshop where you make your own Game Boy.
10:13I think there's other consoles too, actually.
10:15And you can choose like all your colors.
10:16And you actually make it like, like you actually make it from scratch from all the parts.
10:20Yeah, and they like help you do it.
10:21So that's where we're going today.
10:22So I'm really excited.
10:23And I don't really have confidence I can make a Game Boy.
10:25So we'll see.

15:47So in case you guys don't know, I'm a 27 year old freelance worker here in Tokyo.

15:52I usually just work from home.
15:54Like I said, I'm freelance.
15:55So yeah, it's all like remote work.
15:57But today I'm actually meeting my friend and we're going to go to a share
16:01office or like share lounge and work there together,
16:03which is really exciting.
16:04I've never done that before.
16:05So yeah, I'm going to bring you guys along and show you what we get up to.
16:09I don't really know how much I'm going to be able to film.
16:12I'm probably going to be like really embarrassed to film in front of my friends.
16:14So yeah, I'm sorry about that.
16:15Oh, and also the shared lounge we're going to is actually in Shibuya.
16:19And apparently there's a new Jojo pop-up shop there.
16:21I think it's still open.

16:41I think it's the glow cushion foundation.

16:44And also this Dalba face spray.
16:47I know this is technically skincare, but I use it like on top of my makeup
16:50and it just makes everything so glowy.
16:52If you like like a glowy makeup look, I really recommend getting these two products.
16:56I think they're both kind of expensive abroad.
16:58But yeah, if you're coming to Japan,
16:59definitely get them here because they're a lot cheaper.

17:11These are from a brand like an online Japanese brand called Teijing.

17:22They're really cool.
17:23They're honestly like such a good shape and they're really cheap.
17:26I think they're only like 6,000 yen.

17:33I don't think I'm going to bring my camera with me
17:35because I can't be bothered to keep getting it out.
17:37And like, I don't know, I feel like everyone looks at you

20:36but yeah, I literally just didn't end up filming anything today.
20:40As I expected, I was way too shy to vlog in front of my friend
20:43and also just like, I don't know, on my own in public.
20:47I'm very awkward.
20:48Yeah, we did a few hours of work together in the shared office, which was nice.
20:52They have free snacks and drinks in there, which is really cool.
20:55And then we ended up getting dinner together at a vegan place called Masaka.
21:00It's like a vegan izakaya, which is so cool because I think it's like the only one in Tokyo.
21:05Yeah, that was really nice.
21:06And then yeah, I just came home and I ended up getting caught in the rain.
