00:11at the bye week um he had a big third down stop uh at like i said at the goal
00:17line he looked pretty
00:18good there but uh there was a lot of times where it looked like he was just trying to find
00:22his way
00:22he was trying to knock the rust off he was trying to just kind of navigate the waters a little

00:27he didn't really show the emotion that i thought aaron donald would show in his first game back
00:33he wasn't yelling at all he wasn't hyped up at all looked like he was just trying to be cautious

00:39little bit trying to take his reps uh do you think that he's gonna be the same guy that he
00:45was in 2024
00:46when he was still menacing because now we actually have game evidence of how he's looked you know and
00:51how he's come in his game shape and all that stuff absolutely look man aaron donald is out there
01:00against men in peak condition pushing him as hard as they possibly can and he hasn't played in three
01:08years whatever they are doing in practice will not get you anywhere near a game rep of the magnitude
01:14that they had tonight and so one of the things when you have a comeback like this it takes you

01:20couple of weeks to actually get up to real game speed real game conditioning now obviously in
01:27football it's short spurts of 10 to 15 seconds mostly 5 to 10 seconds as long as the play goes
01:32because you're going so hard you're going so fast and so it's going to take him a little while to
01:36look
01:36like the aaron donald we know but again he had three years off and he came out tonight i didn't
01:41expect him to embarrass himself but he he represented himself about as good in my opinion about as good as
01:48a
01:48guy could have been off that long again remember michael jordan went off for a year and a half
01:53and he came back he was the best player of the game he came back and he looked like a
01:57shell of himself
01:58he looked off he looked like he couldn't he didn't know what a basketball was at that level
02:03aaron donald just came off of the layoff got right back in the trenches and was pushing and getting back
02:10there getting some pressure getting to the quarterback making move and so again and they didn't they
02:15treated him like he was jordan too they did double teams triple teams they planned for him so no no

02:21he's gonna be all right man i have full faith that aaron donald will come back at the speed in

02:26he left after seeing them tonight yeah i think what shocked me is how much he played like i thought
02:32they would kind of ease him into it and be like okay we're gonna play you maybe once every series

02:37twice every series but he came back and as you guys are seeing on the screen i mean 58 of
02:42the snaps
02:42seven double teams which was the most on the ramps defensive line in his first game in two years
02:49that's how uh impressive i think aaron donald is right now even at his age and coming off of that
02:55that two-year absence um do you think like do you think they effectively like and carefully manage him
03:03or do you think he told them hey i want to be out there as much as possible if i
03:06come back i'm not
03:07just going to be this guy that shadows other guys i want to be aaron donald that snap percentage would
03:13have been way higher if this was a real game a real game yeah there's that that snap percentage
03:19this is preseason week two by the way that snap would that snap count would have been way higher
03:24if this game was close because again he didn't look winded he didn't look tired he didn't look like
03:29he didn't have it he just looked like he was he was getting in shape he was getting his reps

03:34full speed as hard as i can and getting my reps in because this game was over so it wasn't

03:40there was any real you know pressure packed moments that he had to deliver and so he was making sure
03:45he was getting his work and that's the way it looked at to me and that's why i feel like
03:48he'll
03:48be able to get back to what he's doing 100 percent what he was when he left because of the
03:53type of reps
03:54that he was getting out there he never once got pushed to the side against double teams and he hasn't
03:59played in years like you have like think about that these are 300 pound men double teaming you
04:05and you just get off the couch yeah yeah it's just i mean it goes to show like all those
04:10impressive
04:10all those training and workout videos that we were watching over the offseason like oh my god he looks
04:15amazing well he looked basically just as good as he did before um and when and when you didn't need
04:21him to get a stop at the end of the game why push it why why risk it let him
04:26get out let as much
04:27he's comfortable hey you got a couple more in you yeah boom okay going out there you know it wasn't
04:32like you would turn into him because you needed him out there this game was over sure yeah i think
04:36even if they didn't have aaron donald out there they probably would have still going about yeah um
04:40yeah but okay the the rams defense before we get to the break you did you like what the because
04:46trent mcduffie had his first rams interception um what are you doing what are you doing what are you
04:50doing what are you doing what are you doing so you're not impressed at all by this rams defense at
04:56all
04:56i already i already told you jamis winston negated everything i could have as an opinion
05:02on the defense he couldn't complete you don't think the rams defense had any input into that
05:08for sure if those were knockdowns if those were the ball was hitting the dirt well the ball's
05:15hitting the dirt because they got a lot of pressure he barely had any time to throw
05:19you did i mean it's true you almost got two safeties in my in my opinion jamis winston's
05:26performance negated everything i saw or any opinion that i could have about the rams defense
05:32when it involves this game i thought and donald represented himself well that's where it stops
05:38that's fair listen i i'm not doubting you that jamis winston had a bad game he did have a bad
