00:03October and November can turn dangerous when lingering warmth collides with stronger cold fronts and the jet stream dips south.
00:09I do think there's going to be severe weather and the normal trend, north to south as you go through
00:13the fall season.
00:14September across the Midwest and the Ohio Valley is still kind of active and then getting down to the Gulf
00:20Coast.
00:20El Nino could help put a break on some of that activity.
00:23Now with El Nino, typically kind of puts a lid on a lot of severe weather during the height of
00:28the season.
00:29But quieter doesn't mean risk-free, particularly in the southeast.
00:33Florida always can come out with some severe weather, southern Georgia, southern South Carolina.
00:39That's the area to watch, especially as we get towards late October and November.
00:43And here's the added danger, longer nights.
00:45Tornadoes are harder to spot in the dark and a warning could come while you're asleep.
