00:00A Mangaton man has admitted to chasing his neighbour and threatening to assault him over a suspected stolen SIM card.
00:0745-year-old Andrew James Gilroy pleaded guilty in Wollongong local court on September 17 to charges of intimidation and
00:15resisting and assaulting police.
00:18Gilroy's neighbour was filming pigeons on his phone earlier this month when Gilroy began to yell.
00:24The victim ran to his unit and flagged down nearby police as Gilroy chased after him and threatened to assault
00:31him.
00:32Gilroy was aggressive with officers attempting to spit on them.
00:35He was hit with a burst of pepper spray before being loaded into the back of a police van.
00:40In court, Gilroy's defence lawyer said drugs were an ongoing issue for his client and asked the matter to be
00:47adjourned.
00:49Gilroy will return to Wollongong local court in October.
