Umbrella Cockatoo Attacks Its Owner For Wearing Glasses

Some pets have strong opinions about small changes, and they make them known.

Inside a home, Anna stands near the bird’s area while Scorf perches close by. As Anna leans in, the cockatoo repeatedly lunges toward her face and glasses.

“My loving 10-year-old umbrella cockatoo does not like when I wear glasses, and I already knew that. I wore them anyway for a little while as I cleaned her room, and Scorf, my white bird, immediately started lunging at me as if she wanted to attack. She does a complete 180-degree personality change when I wear glasses, but without them, she is the most snuggly and cuddly bird ever. I decided to test it that day and definitely learned my lesson when she jumped onto my face to attack the “dangerous” glasses, the filmer, Anna, told WooGlobe.

The contrast between a routine moment and the bird’s immediate reaction turns ordinary eyewear into an unexpected trigger. The brief standoff ends with the glasses still on, and the cockatoo still clearly focused on them.
