00:00The mother of Renee Good, the woman shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis,
00:03has renewed calls for accountability in the federal government as she testified on Capitol Hill
00:08yesterday. Donna Ganger says she initially believed in President Trump's immigration policy.
00:13I voted for President Trump under the impression that these agents were here to protect the
00:20citizens of the United States, innocents like our family and the others here against terrorists,
00:27certainly not to accuse those of us here of being terrorists and take precious lives. This is
00:32madness. Ganger joined other families of individuals killed by immigration agents in
00:37calling for laws to protect citizens and hold agents accountable. It is difficult to balance
00:42our gratitude for what a lovely soul Renee was with the anger and confusion at the violent way she
00:48died and the total insanity of it all. She should still be alive. I'll say that again. My daughter
00:55should still be alive. Ganger's testimony came during a joint hearing discussing the killings
00:59of Good and Alex Preddy during Operation Metro Surge, as well as three other killings involving ICE
01:04and Border Patrol agents.
