00:00The South Australian Government has consistently made clear to South Australian
00:04Police that we stand ready to do anything and everything we can to assist
00:08their efforts and recently we received a request from South Australian Police to
00:13facilitate a reward. Today I can announce that we are doing exactly that. The
00:19highest ever reward ever issued in the state's history is one million dollars.
00:25Today we match that effort and put in place a one million dollar reward for
00:32anyone that is able to provide information that results in us finding
00:38Gus or learning more about Gus's circumstances that leads to a finding of
00:43a body or resulting in a criminal conviction. During the time Gus has been
00:49missing he should have celebrated his fifth birthday and his little brother's first
00:54birthday with us. One of the most heartbreaking things is that Gus and his
00:59little brother will not grow up and share their lives together. Gus was adored by his
01:05little brother. We are desperate to have him returned home to us and we are
01:12desperate for answers. We believe that someone knows something. Someone knows
01:19what happened to Gus and may even know where he is.
01:24Even if you are feeling scared or unsure, if you know anything at all, we are imploring
01:29you to help us. Even the smallest detail could be helpful. Please come forward and
01:35cooperate with police.

01:37As I've outlined previously, Task Force Horizon Detectives have been following three main lines
01:44of inquiry and they were that Gus has wandered off and become lost. Gus has been abducted
01:50by a third party or someone known to Gus has been involved in his disappearance. Two lines
01:58of those inquiry, namely Gus wandering off and Gus being abducted remain unlikely. So far we have no evidence to
02:10support those theories despite consistent and exhaustive investigative efforts.
02:18The focus of Task Force Horizon remains on the third scenario and that is that someone known to Gus
02:25Gus has been involved in his disappearance and suspected death.
02:33As you are aware, I have previously stated that one of the grandparents is a suspect in our
02:39investigation. That has not changed, but I am not going today to make any more comment
02:45or elaborate any further about the suspect in this particular investigation.
