UAC delivers new Su-57 fighters to Russia and shows aircraft in video

UAC says the aircraft delivered to the Russian Aerospace Forces feature a new technical configuration; the manufacturer also released a video of the handover but did not disclose how many fighters were included in the batch.

The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC/OAK), part of Russia’s state-owned Rostec conglomerate, announced on Thursday (24) the delivery of a new batch of Su-57 multirole fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS).

According to the manufacturer, the aircraft were delivered in a “new technical configuration” and completed the full cycle of factory testing before the handover. Pilots from the Russian Ministry of Defense were also said to have evaluated the fighters in different operating modes before flying them to the air base where they will be deployed.

UAC also published a video of the delivery, showing the Su-57s involved in the transfer to Russian military aviation. The footage accompanied the announcement of the new batch, but by itself does not make it possible to determine all of the modifications incorporated into the aircraft.

The manufacturer did not disclose how many Su-57s were delivered, nor did it provide a detailed list of the sensors, electronic systems or weapons that distinguish this configuration from earlier versions.
