00:23According to provisional results, the vote count and tallying at local and regional constituency level produced the following results.
00:32The Authenticity and Modernity Party, PAM, won 97 seats, the National Rally of Independents, 66 seats, the Istiklal Party, 65
00:44seats, and the Justice Development Party, 54 seats.
00:48The low participation comes amid concerns over unemployment, inequality, health care, and education.
00:56Morocco also saw youth-led protests last year demanding improvement to public services.
01:02Turnouts stood at just 38 percent down from 50 percent in 2021 and the lowest since 2007.
