00:00A father leaves his son on a cliff, believing he is dead.
00:04However, a large vulture pecks the boy, causing him to wake up in pain.
00:09Realizing he is stranded on the edge of the cliff, he calls out to his father, but gets
00:14no response.
00:15In a desperate bid to survive, he attempts to climb down, but his foot slips and he is
00:21left hanging from a rock ledge.
00:23A sudden storm makes the rocks dangerously slick, forcing him to take a brave leap into
00:28the rising water below.
00:30The next morning, the boy wakes up severely injured.
00:33Painfully crawling to a puddle of muddy rainwater to drink, he discovers his ankle is badly
00:39dislocated.
00:40He forces his ankle between two rocks and violently pops the bone back into place before
00:45wrapping it with branches for support.
00:47Suddenly, a pack of wolves surrounds him.
00:50As he scrambles up a nearby tree, one wolf bites his leg.
00:54He stabs the wolf in the chest with his knife and successfully climbs up to safety while
00:59the pack waits below all night.
01:01By morning, the pack leaves, leaving behind the wounded wolf he had stabbed.
01:06Though initially tempted to finish it off, the boy feels pity when looking into its helpless
01:12eyes.
01:12He muzzles the wolf, brings it into a cave, and treats its injuries with medicinal herbs.
01:18As both heal, the boy hunts a rabbit and establishes dominance over the wolf, earning its complete
01:25loyalty and turning it into a faithful companion.
01:28Together, they head back toward the boy's home.
01:31During a fierce blizzard, they seek shelter inside a cave, only to be attacked by a wild
01:37lion.
01:37The wolf bravely fights the beast, allowing the boy to shoot a fatal arrow.
01:43Though victorious, the wolf is mortally wounded.
01:46The boy cradles his dying companion in his arms and walks through the snow until he finally
01:51spots the outline of his village, where his father sees him returning from afar.
