00:00Well, Vietnam's top because it has an FTA with Europe.
00:03And on the back of that FTA, we've seen trade and investment really take off between the EU and Vietnam.
00:09And then Vietnam themselves are inside so many other trade agreements.
00:12That's a real boon for the country.
00:15Indonesia's high up the list because it is simply the largest economy in Southeast Asia.
00:19There's no other reason for it.
00:21They will soon have a comprehensive economic partnership agreement in place with the EU by the end of the first
00:27quarter next year.
00:28And I think you'll see then trade and investment really take off.
00:31What does Thailand need to do?
00:34Well, have a stable government, which you now have, continue with economic reform package, continue with your OECD accession and
00:41try and accelerate it and then finalize the FTA with the EU.
00:45But that part is pretty important, as what you said.
00:48Of course, Philippines and the EU already reached the final stage for the EU FTA too.
00:53And of course, right now, Indonesia and Thailand.
00:55And then, of course, I think the government, you already know that aims to finalize the FTA by the end
01:02of this year.
01:03Do you think the FTA could really drive Thailand's economy?
01:08As in, of course, perhaps after the Philippines and Indonesia too, would that be too late for Thailand?
01:13No, not too late for Thailand.
01:16I think you just need to look at what happened between the Vietnam and the EU to see what can
01:20really take off in terms of trade and investment.
01:23If Thailand can follow a similar track, Thailand will be doing fine.
01:27But you need to carry on with your economic reforms and you need to do the OECD accession.
