00:23The department said the operation was conducted in two phases, beginning at 11.30am on Thursday with inspections and enforcement
00:33action at business premises within the apartment complex.
00:37The operation continued at 1.30am on Friday, targeting occupants suspected of being undocumented migrants.
00:45A total of 321 individuals were screened, resulting in the detention of 84 undocumented foreigners, comprising 73 men, 9 women
00:56and 2 children, for further investigation and action.
01:00Intelligence gathered by the department found that foreign nationals were residing in the area, with some believed to be conducting
01:08business activities there.
01:10The operation also continued enforcement efforts in residential areas identified as having a high concentration of foreign nationals, following similar

01:23The department said it viewed seriously the issue of undocumented migrants living in groups and carrying out activities in violation
01:33of immigration laws.
01:34It also urged homeowners and premises operators to ensure that the immigration status of their occupants and tenants was valid
01:44and complied with stipulated requirements.
