00:39neighbouring Eritrea while instability in Sudan further complicates the regional picture.
00:45I think there is a real risk that the fighting could spread around the country. The formation
00:51of the Alliance for Survival was essentially a way of coordinating different armed groups
00:56to develop campaigns against the federal government in parallel to each other.
01:02So the action by the TPLF and the Fano in the Amhara region could spark new offensives by other
01:10groups in Oromir, the Somali region, Benishangul Ghumus and elsewhere as well.

01:29clashes since the beginning of the year. There is certainly hope to prevent a longer and more

01:44powers, regional powers with influence over either of the conflict parties, the federal government of
01:49Ethiopia and the TPLF and others to urge restraint and to return to talks rather than fighting.
