00:00Connect the body to the Earth's natural electrical field.
00:03Connecting to the Earth's electrical fields, yeah, that's not a thing.
00:06You can't believe anything on the internet anymore.
00:09I'm Dr. Andrea Love, biomedical scientist.
00:12Let's fact check some AI slop.
00:17Okay, let's watch this first video.
00:19The moment the probiotic drink drops into your stomach,
00:22its smooth liquid spreads gently across the lining.
00:26I have so many questions.
00:28So your stomach compartment is incredibly acidic.
00:33Most of them are going to be killed as soon as they hit the gastric acid.
00:37But I'm not really sure what they're saying about this probiotic drink coating the stomach.
00:42That's not a thing I've ever heard.
00:43Instead of aggressive reaction, the environment stays stable and controlled.
00:48Yeah, this is all just nonsense.
00:50There's no probiotic that controls the acidity of the stomach.
00:54Some live cultures survive the acid, remaining active inside the stomach fluid instead of breaking down instantly.
01:02That's, yeah, some can hypothetically, but there's no quality control over which of them will.
01:07The liquid lightly coats the stomach walls, supporting...
01:11I just can't get over this lightly coating of the stomach wall.
01:14This is just a weird mental image and not really what's happening in your stomach.
01:19The protective lining and reducing harsh friction during digestion.
01:24Stomach contractions stay slow and organized.
01:27I don't know what's happening here.
01:28Probiotics are not exerting an effect on your stomach at all.
01:31The probiotic mixture moves forward smoothly.
01:34I feel like this video doesn't actually know what probiotics is.
01:38I feel like I'm done with this one.
01:40Next.
01:41Put raw ginger under your tongue for 10 seconds and pay attention to what happens next.
01:47This point under your tongue connects directly to your lymphatic system.
01:53No, no, it doesn't.
01:55When you put things sublingually, which is under the tongue, the reason you do that is because
02:00the skin under your tongue is very thin and you have a lot of capillaries very close to
02:05the surface.
02:05So when it dissolves, it can be easily absorbed into the bloodstream, but it is not directly
02:11connected to the lymphatic system.
02:12In fact, the lymphatic system is a network of vessels all over your body.
02:17It's definitely not uniquely associated with under the tongue.
02:21I have questions about when he last washed his hands and what's happening there, certainly.
02:27In a few minutes, your sinuses begin to open.
02:29The pressure behind your eyes starts to release.
02:32You might feel that way by putting raw ginger under your tongue because it has a lot of these
02:37volatile organic compounds that can be quite pungent.
02:40My mother did this every single morning.
02:42Mother did it.
02:43And she never saw a doctor for her sinuses in her life.
02:45I've never seen a doctor for my sinuses in my life, and I've never put raw ginger under
02:50my tongue.
02:51This sounds like an anecdote being used as evidence, which is a common tactic when you're
02:57trying to have this emotional relationship to try to persuade someone when there isn't
03:01actually evidence.
03:02Wonderful AI.
03:03All right, next.
03:04Place fresh cloves under your tongue for 10 seconds.
03:08Wait, did we just watch this?
03:09This feels very deja vu to me.
03:11Pay attention to what happens afterward.
03:13This point under the tongue is directly connected to your lymphatic system.
03:17Now I know that this is AI because they're literally saying the same thing.
03:21Let's see if the compounds present.
03:23The compounds present in raw ginger absorb instantly into your bloodstream.
03:28Verbatim.
03:29This is incredible.
03:30Your sinuses begin to open.
03:31The pressure behind your eyes starts to ease.
03:34Did his mom do the same thing every single day and never went to see a doctor about her sinuses?
03:38My mother did this every single morning and she never saw a doctor for her sinuses in
03:43her entire life.
03:44Yeah, this is...
03:45I don't even...
03:46I can't.
03:47There are probably some compounds in cloves that at high concentrations, if you treat some
03:52cancer cells in a petri dish, you could kill them.
03:55But you can also kill cancer cells with pure water in a petri dish.
03:59They'll explode.
04:00All right, we're done.
04:00Next.
04:03Yeah, so this is an AI-generated video of a tick feeding and, you know, it's got some
04:08things right and that's how ticks feed.
04:09It's called a hypostome and it's like a little double-sided serrated knife with a straw in
04:15the middle and then it uses a cement to kind of lock itself into your skin.
04:19There are some pathogens that a tick can transmit when it's feeding on you.
04:23So I'm guessing that we're referring to the Lyme disease bacterium, which is Borrelia
04:28Burdorferi.
04:29In the U.S., it's the black-legged tick and the Western black-legged tick.
04:32Only those two species, none of the other ones, transmit Lyme disease.
04:35And the tick has to be feeding on you for at least 24 hours to have a chance to transmit
04:40that bacteria into your body.
04:43The Lone Star tick is particularly aggressive, which can spread things like Rocky Mountain
04:47spotted fever.
04:47And that can also trigger the alpha-gal.
04:50It's an allergy against a particular sugar that's found in certain red meat products.
04:55And then the next time you eat meat that maybe contains this particular sugar that humans
04:59don't have, your body mounts an allergic response to it.
05:03The best defense against any sort of tick-borne illness is a good offense.
05:07So that means using effective tick repellents.
05:10And the only two that are effective against ticks are DEET and picaridin.
05:13They're both incredibly safe and effective and you can use them on children six months
05:17and older and including during pregnancy.
05:19Don't listen to the people that are promoting natural tick repellents.
05:22They do not work against ticks and you want to shower promptly and remove any clothing
05:27that may have ticks crawling on them because it does take them anywhere from 15 minutes
05:31to a couple of hours before they'll eventually settle down and bite.
05:34All right, next.
05:36The best...
05:37All right, this video has 18 million views.
05:40The best juice to fight cancer is pomegranate juice.
05:44The best mushroom to fight cancer is reishi.
05:47The best seed to fight cancer is flaxseed.
05:50None of these things are fighting cancer.
05:52When you have cancer, seeking unproven alternatives as opposed to proven cancer interventions
05:57increases your risk of death substantially.
06:01The best herb to fight cancer is turmeric.
06:04The best fruit to fight cancer is soursop.
06:07Soursop has certain alkaloid chemicals that are potentially incredibly risky.
06:13They have increased risk of neurotoxicity and causing motor defects, especially in rodent studies.
06:19So much so that Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center has actually put out a warning about
06:25soursop supplements because they're so prevalent in the alternative cancer treatment sphere.
06:31The best vegetable to fight cancer is broccoli sprouts.
06:34So if I want to concede anything to this video is that if we're talking about broccoli sprouts,
06:40there's a compound in broccoli sprouts called sulforaphane that in in vitro and very limited
06:47clinical trials maybe has a potential to eventually become something.
06:53The best tea to fight cancer is matcha green tea.
06:57The best grain to fight cancer is quinoa.
06:59So, yeah, none of these things are fighting cancer.
07:03A lot of people believe that we're hiding natural cures for cancer, right?
07:06But you probably didn't know that many of the chemotherapies that we have today were actually
07:12derived from natural substances.
07:14For example, paclitaxel, which is used for cancer, is a derivative of taxol, which is from
07:21the yew tree.
07:22Next.
07:25This is going to be good.
07:34It's true that certain substances can be released from plastics.
07:38This is often related to compounds such as bisphenol A or BPA, which has gotten a lot
07:43of attention.
07:44But the amount of those substances that may end up in your food are not shown to have
07:48any link to increased cancer risk.
07:51And these substances are rapidly excreted from your body, even if you were to actually ingest
07:57or encounter them.
07:58Number two, eating charred meat.
08:00Those burnt edges are pure carcinogens.
08:03Charring during grilling does lead to the formation of certain types of compounds like
08:09polycyclic amines.
08:10In a perfect world, you don't want to eat a ton of those because, yeah, they are a function
08:14of this byproduct of overheating.
08:17But if you're eating something that you've grilled and it has a little bit of burnt edges,
08:21it's not pure carcinogens.
08:23I don't even know what that means.
08:24Number three, aluminum deodorant.
08:25It absorbs through your skin and builds up in breast tissue right where tumors are in.
08:30Aluminum is not in deodorant.
08:33Aluminum salts are in antiperspirants and they form a jelly in your sweat glands when
08:39they mix with water to prevent excessive sweating.
08:42Aluminum salts are not absorbed in high quantities by your body and they're definitely not accumulating
08:48in your breast tissue.
08:50Antiperspirants, aluminum-containing salts, really anything aluminum-related has no relationship
08:55to breast cancer or cancers otherwise.
08:58Number four, sleeping with your phone by your head.
09:00The radiation doesn't stop while you sleep.
09:03Ooh, okay.
09:04So, cell phones use radiofrequency radiation, which is a very long wavelength radiation with
09:12very low energy.
09:14In the spectrum of electromagnetic radiation, visible light is kind of in the center.
09:19And then above that, higher energy, those that can be ionizing and cause damage to your tissues
09:26and your cells would be things like ultraviolet, gamma, x-ray, and so on.
09:32And then below visible light, so that's longer wavelength, lower energy, non-ionizing.
09:39Then you have radiofrequency, your cell phones, your actual microwave, and so on and so forth.
09:44It does not have the energy to interact with your DNA and other molecules in your cells
09:50to cause the damage that could lead to cancer.
09:53Number five, drinking from plastic bottles left in a hot car.
09:57Heat activates the toxins.
09:59They leach into your water before you even take a sip.
10:02So even if some of these substances did leach from the plastic into the water and you drank
10:07some of it, one, these are going to be very small quantities.
10:10And two, your kidneys do a really good job of filtering and excreting out the things you
10:15don't need in your urine.
10:16Okay, let's go on to the next video.
10:19My name is pomegranate.
10:21I protect your arteries by stopping cholesterol from sticking to the walls.
10:26I really want to know how pomegranate is doing that.
10:29This is a common theme in wellness where, you know, they kind of glom on to a singular
10:35food or a singular compound that's found in a food and they find some mechanistic study
10:40and they extrapolate it to some health impact.
10:43So managing cholesterol levels in your body is very multifactorial.
10:48And there are certain people that have baseline high LDL cholesterol, which is the bad one.
10:54And some of that has nothing to do with what they ate or their metabolism.
10:58It's simply genetic.
10:59My name is Strawberry.
11:01I reduce bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol inside your blood.
11:07This video hints at this theme that is recurrent in kind of the wellness sphere and that, like,
11:12you don't need medical intervention.
11:13You just need food because food is medicine and therefore you can prevent or cure all of
11:18these ailments with specific foods.
11:20Now, it's really important to understand that food is nourishment.
11:24It's not medicine.
11:26Next.
11:26If a woman has cellulite on her legs that she has been blaming on genetics, she's been wrong
11:32the entire time.
11:33Oh.
11:34Well, cellulite is multifactorial and hate to break it to them, but genetics are actually
11:41a big factor.
11:42That cellulite is old fat nodules trapped beneath the skin, suffocating blood circulation.
11:47Oh, no, that's not even remotely what cellulite is.
11:50It's not old fat and it's definitely not smothering your circulation.
11:55In the structure of your subcutaneous layer where fat is under the skin, there are these
12:01vertical scaffolds and then you have fat tissue that are in between.
12:05So in some people, a lot of which is determined by genetics, those vertical scaffolds that are
12:10tighter, they kind of pull the skin while the fat kind of bulges out of the top.
12:16That's what forms the physical appearance of cellulite.
12:19Mix leftover ground coffee with coarse sea salt and extra virgin olive oil.
12:23Rub this black scrub onto the skin in firm circular motions.
12:27That is not a cure for cellulite whatsoever.
12:31So interestingly, this one actually brings in a little nugget of truth because there are
12:37some really limited studies that suggest that caffeine, which is one of the active compounds
12:44in coffee, when applied topically in a skin product can reduce the appearance of certain
12:51skin blemishes, including cellulite.
12:53But that medical grade caffeine that is at a very specific dose is not the same as used
13:00ground coffee from your coffee pot.
13:02The sea salt stimulates circulation and pushes fresh blood flow back through the suffocated
13:07areas.
13:07Yeah, no, that's not a thing either.
13:10The only way to actually fix cellulite is through a surgical procedure where they cut some of those
13:16vertical scaffolds to release some of that tension in your skin.
13:20So yeah, we're done with this one.
13:21Raw milk enters your body.
13:24Watch the journey begin now.
13:26I have so much beef with raw milk.
13:28First of all, I just love how the milk is just spilling outside of all of the person's
13:33organs and just flooding the peritoneal cavity.
13:37Just let's appreciate that.
13:38If that happened, you would die from sepsis.
13:42Raw milk faces powerful acid forces.
13:45Tiny intestinal villi absorb raw milk nutrients instantly.
13:49Just to be clear, pasteurized milk also has the same nutrients.
13:54The perk of pasteurized milk, which has been heated to 165 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 seconds,
14:00is that it doesn't contain microorganisms that come from cow feces, because think about where
14:07the udders hang out on a cow.
14:10Those microorganisms that can cause serious foodborne infections.
14:14Your bloodstream becomes a highway for milk nutrients.
14:17Calcium from raw milk powers your beating heart.
14:20A lot of people are really fixated on raw milk because there's this kind of homestead lifestyle
14:26that has resurged where people want to go back to ancestral living.
14:30The reality is that before we started pasteurizing raw milk over 100 years ago in the U.S., foodborne
14:36illnesses due to unpasteurized dairy products, particularly in milk, were a leading cause of
14:43illness among people.
14:45And after pasteurized milk ordinances went into effect, those plummeted.
14:49We're actually seeing an increase in milk-borne illnesses because people are now going back
14:55to drinking unpasteurized dairy products.
14:58All right, next.
15:00Oh my God, this one has 37.4 million views?
15:10Generally speaking, there is no singular food that is a superfood for your teeth or any other
15:16part of your body.
15:17Dental health is related to a lot of different things, including genetics and how much enamel
15:23you have, which is related to the mineralization of the hard outer layer of your teeth.
15:28And there are some ways to improve the strength of that, such as using fluoride in your toothpaste
15:33or drinking fluoridated water.
15:35But your tooth enamel becomes eroded when the bacteria that are normally living in your mouth,
15:40they like to metabolize sugars.
15:41And when they metabolize sugars, they produce acid as a byproduct.
15:45And that acid can, again, eat away at that mineral layer and eventually erode your teeth.
15:50It all comes down to general oral health.
15:53If you want to eat these foods, none of them are inherently unhealthy or bad for your teeth,
15:56so go for it.
15:57But yeah, they're not superfoods.
15:59All right, next.
16:01Are you ready for your 30-second booster shot?
16:03It's going to keep me from getting sick, right?
16:05Nobody's getting 32 boosters.
16:06This is wildly hyperbolic and obviously playing right into the anti-vaccine trope.
16:12How are you feeling?
16:13Caught COVID three times, had to be hospitalized, and I'm pretty sure my body has its own IP address
16:17now.
16:17The data actually show that people that stayed up to date on their COVID vaccines had lower
16:22risk of infection itself, symptomatic illness, severe illness requiring hospitalization,
16:28and death.
16:29And if you look at the population of people that died from COVID after the vaccines were
16:35rolled out and deployed globally, the majority of those people were unvaccinated.
16:40What does it mean when the left side of your body goes numb and your heart starts racing?
16:43You know, here he's mentioning, you know, some of these adverse side effects, right?
16:48He's referring to like myocarditis and pericarditis, which was a very rare adverse effect that was
16:54found to be slightly higher prevalence among certain young adult males.
16:59But that particular adverse effect was still incredibly rare and much less rare than the
17:06myocarditis that would actually occur after COVID itself.
17:10And it was temporary and resolved with rest.
17:12Next.
17:14Just one little jab for measles.
17:17Please stop doing this!
17:18Because of RFK Jr. and the Maha movement, we've had our first deaths due to measles in
17:24over a decade because people are not getting vaccinated.
17:27As the head of HHS, he's supposed to be standing up for science, but he's really just using that
17:34platform to promote his unscientific and often conspiratorial beliefs while undermining measles
17:41vaccines and MMR vaccines that have been used for decades and actually eliminated measles
17:47in the U.S. over 25 years ago.
17:49All right.
17:50I'm done with him.
17:51Next.
17:53What if the water you're drinking every day is slowly poisoning you?
17:56Fluoride added to your supply for healthy teeth.
17:59But is it a deadly scam?
18:01No, it is not a deadly scam.
18:04Fluoride has been added to municipal water for over 75 years at a very low level, but it
18:12improves the strength of your dental enamel and it reduces the development of dental caries,
18:18also known as cavities, by up to 50% compared to municipalities that don't have fluoridated
18:24water.
18:25Fluoride isn't just for toothpaste.
18:27Fluoride is not a neurotoxin at the levels that you would realistically be exposed to.
18:34In fact, even if you overdosed on water, it still wouldn't be a neurotoxin at that level.
18:41The amount that they put into water is 0.7 parts per million, a very tiny quantity.
18:47Studies show high levels in water linked to lower IQ in kids.
18:51So this study was wildly misinterpreted.
18:55So there was an observational study that looked at areas in the world that had significantly
19:01higher natural levels of fluoride in the water.
19:04And they found an observation, a correlation in certain communities where there were lower
19:10IQ levels and they attributed it to the fluoride in the water.
19:14But there were also confounding variables like those areas also had higher levels of environmental
19:18arsenic and other things that could confound the data and potentially actually cause lower
19:24IQ.
19:24Those conclusions have never been substantiated with actual causal data.
19:29It builds up in bones causing skeletal fluorosis.
19:32So in order to cause skeletal fluorosis, which is when fluoride does kind of grab onto skeletal
19:39bones as opposed to your teeth, where it enhances mineralization, you would have to be consuming
19:45the order of, if you were a small child, you would have to be drinking 57 liters of water
19:52a day over the course of months to have any sort of skeletal impacts of fluoride.
19:59Pain, fractures, crippling joints.
20:02All right.
20:04I'm just going to take a sip of water.
20:09Sorry.
20:10It's the voice.
20:10It's so deep and just menacing.
20:12Kids get dental fluorosis, ugly stained teeth that last forever.
20:16All right.
20:17This is a little bit of an exaggeration.
20:19The reason that we discovered that fluoride improved dental health started back in the
20:24early 1900s when there was a dentist who was like, hey, these people in this town have
20:31these slightly brownish teeth, but they have no cavities.
20:34And he went on this 50 year long epidemiological quest to learn that the place where those people
20:40lived had higher levels of naturally occurring fluoride in the water.
20:44And as a result, they had really strong teeth.
20:47Extremely high levels of fluoride can cause some mild discoloration in teeth.
20:53Certainly looking nothing like that, but it's generally not super obvious.
20:59And it comes with really strong teeth at the same time.
21:02Get this.
21:03It messes with your thyroid.
21:05Yeah, it absolutely doesn't mess with your thyroid.
21:07There's no evidence that it interacts with, that it accumulates, that it binds to, that it
21:12interferes with function of your thyroid.
21:14Boosts ADHD risk and could even spark cancer.
21:17All right.
21:18Yeah, we're done.
21:19Fluoride in water at 0.7 parts per million has been demonstrated to improve dental health.
21:25And it is one of the top 10 greatest public health achievements in the last century.
21:30So next.
21:31Dove contains high levels of sulfates, synthetic fragrances, and cheap preservatives that have
21:37raised...
21:38The sulfates used in shampoos are not related to cancer at all.
21:42And if we're talking about cheap preservatives, perhaps we're talking about parabens, which
21:45are incredibly safe, are incredibly cost effective.
21:49They're safer than other preservatives and they prevent microbial contamination in skincare
21:54products, and they're not remotely associated with cancer.
21:57Poland Spring has faced concerns over microplastics, potential PFAS traces, and plastic...
22:04The alarmist language around microplastics is very overblown.
22:08And it's in part because the studies trying to measure microplastics are using the wrong
22:14methods.
22:15So essentially, when you're trying to detect microplastics, you're looking for these
22:19polymers that are chains of hydrogen and carbon.
22:22But guess what else are chains of hydrogen and carbon?
22:25Fatty acid tails.
22:27So the tails of all the fats that are in your body.
22:29So you saw all these studies coming out saying that they were finding microplastics accumulating
22:34in the brain.
22:34Well, the brain has a lot of fat in it.
22:37And so using these chemistry methods, people started to spread rumors that microplastics
22:42are accumulating in all of your tissues.
22:44But it's actually because the method that they're using to measure or detect them is also
22:49detecting fats that you would expect to see in your body.
22:51So generally speaking, there hasn't been any real data to suggest, one, that microplastics
22:58are leeching out of plastic materials and accumulating in your body.
23:03And second, more importantly, that they're related to any sort of health issue.
23:08The real story is definitely more nuanced and definitely less scary than they're making
23:12it out to be.
23:13Next.
23:14Five signs that you might have a dangerous parasite infection.
23:18First sign, unexplained stomach pain that comes and goes.
23:21This could be anisoccus larva from raw fish burrowing into your gut wall.
23:25Unexplained stomach pain could be caused by dozens of different things.
23:30Anisoccus, which is a type of tapeworm, is found in certain types of fish species.
23:36It could be stress.
23:37It could be acid reflux.
23:39A myriad of other conditions that can cause this stomach pain before it would be parasites.
23:4478% of raw seafood samples contained these invisible invaders.
23:48There's a lot of parasites out there in the world, and it's why we don't eat raw fish
23:52unless it's sushi-grade and has been flash-frozen to kill them.
23:55Parasites steal nutrients from your food before your body can absorb them.
23:58Yes, parasites.
24:00Certain parasites do contribute to malabsorption, meaning they take nutrients from you before
24:05you're able to utilize them.
24:07Tapeworms from undercooked meat can grow up to 20 feet inside you, consuming everything
24:11you eat.
24:12If you're cooking your meat, then generally you're going to kill any tapeworm larva that
24:17may get into your body.
24:18Even tap water can contain microscopic parasites resistant to chlorine.
24:22So generally speaking, chlorination of water is an important water safety measure that does
24:28render nearly all parasites inactive.
24:31All right, let's move on.
24:32Next.
24:33Never buy an apple without checking the sticker first.
24:36Five digits starting with eight means that apple is genetically modified, so put it back.
24:41That's poison, folks.
24:42So this five-digit code starting with eight, this is an old internet myth that says that
24:47these are denoting GMOs or genetically modified foods, and that's just not true.
24:53Decades ago that this was intended to denote GM fruits and vegetables, but that never became
24:59actual practice.
25:00But on top of that, he says that GMOs are poison, just put it back.
25:04Well, that's blatantly false.
25:06Genetic modification or genetically modified crops, that simply relates to a
25:11breeding technique.
25:12And in fact, GE crops, of which there are only 14 approved in the U.S., are incredibly
25:17well-tested for safety and nutrition.
25:21Five digits starting with nine means that apple is organic.
25:24No chemicals.
25:25This here is the one you want.
25:27So the five-digit starting with nine does, in fact, mean that the apple is organically
25:34grown, but he is absolutely wrong that that means no chemicals.
25:39Organic farming is not pesticide-free.
25:42Organic is a certification that permits the use of certain types of pesticides.
25:48They happen to be naturally-derived pesticides, but naturally-derived pesticides aren't inherently
25:54safer.
25:55And in fact, many pesticides approved for use in organic farming have higher toxicity
26:00at lower doses.
26:01Okay, I'm done with this.
26:02Next.
26:03Forget the sci-fi hype.
26:05Here's the real science inside today's med bed systems that's already improving thousands
26:09of lives.
26:10It starts where healing starts, in sleep.
26:13So I'll concede one thing to this video is that when you're sleeping, it is when your
26:19immune system is doing your wound healing and repair processes, which is why every single
26:26credible scientist and health professional talk about how good quality sleep is important.
26:30Pretty sure that the med bed is not doing anything specifically unique when it comes to sleep
26:36that regular good sleep wouldn't do.
26:38First breakthrough was conductive fabrics that connect the body to the Earth's natural
26:43electrical field.
26:44Connecting to the Earth's electrical fields, yeah, that's not a thing.
26:48That's a thing that wellness influencers promote so they can sell you these little electrostatic
26:54mats that you're supposed to lay on or stand on or apparently have fabrics made out of.
26:58There's nothing to it.
26:59Independent studies on earthing link this to steadier circadian rhythms, up to 39% better
27:05sleep quality and lower stress markers.
27:08I would love to see this study that they're citing, and I'm going to guess that it was
27:12also AI created, kind of like the ones RFK Jr. was citing when he was trying to talk
27:19about vaccines and he just made up studies that didn't actually exist.
27:23The patents describe this as a gentler, steadier electric environment for nightly cellular repair.
27:29Oh, so that is a hallmark of pseudoscience.
27:32If you throw in like a science-y, jargon-sounding thing, cellular repair.
27:35So like, you don't have to be in this little bed pod thing that probably costs $20,000 to
27:40have nightly cellular repair, right?
27:42When you go to sleep, your immune system is literally doing cellular repair.
27:46It's doing that no matter where you're sleeping.
27:48A scanner maps subtle bioelectrical patterns.
27:51All right, we've officially entered sci-fi territory.
27:54So this video lied to me.
27:56I feel misled.
27:57More than 25,000 users report improvements in sleep, pain, anxiety, and overall vitality.
28:04Peer-reviewed grounding studies and case data back those effects.
28:07So, you know, this is definitely an AI-generated graphic.
28:12These aren't even full letters.
28:14I'm going to bet that the company that is selling these med beds just made up all these papers.
28:21But it does look very convincing when they put up a graphic of what looks to be a scientific
28:28study on a video, doesn't it?
28:30No miracle promises, just documented wellness gains.
28:33Oh, yeah.
28:34They're selling a product, of course.
28:36All right, next.
28:37Those tiny little nerds you're eating?
28:40Yeah, those aren't candy.
28:42They're dyed sugar rocks.
28:44Isn't candy dyed sugar rocks?
28:46Candy is sugar and has coloring, right?
28:49Every nerd starts as a tiny sugar nugget, then factories coat it with syrup and blast it
28:53with artificial color.
28:55You don't care, though, right?
28:56No, you shouldn't care because artificial colorings just mean that they've been synthesized
29:01in a lab as opposed to extracted through a chemical process from some source in nature
29:06like a plant or an insect.
29:08Red 40, yellow 5, blue 1.
29:11You think that's good for you?
29:12Those are all colorings that are approved in the U.S. for use as food colorants.
29:18There's a common misconception that these colorings are banned in Europe, and they're
29:22not.
29:22They use a different naming system because they operate under the European Food Safety Authority.
29:28Canada also uses these colorings in their food.
29:30These things have a chemical in them linked to autism spectrum disorder.
29:34What's up with that?
29:34I think that they're referring to the Red 40 there, but that was an observational study.
29:40So an observational study means that people are making a passive observation about a group
29:45of people without any control of the cause and effect.
29:49It's not controlled.
29:50It's just merely, oh, we looked at 100 people and they all report eating something that had
29:57Red 40 in it, and of those people, 20 of them also reported having autism spectrum disorder.
30:04And therefore, they're trying to link a correlation to a cause.
30:09So that's why we often say correlation isn't causation.
30:13All right, next.
30:14Every time you swallow an antibiotic, a silent war begins inside your gut, and nobody warns
30:21you about the destruction that follows.
30:23I can't wait for what's going to happen.
30:26Your gut holds trillions of bacteria built over your entire lifetime.
30:30So this, in fact, is true.
30:32There's an estimated 40 trillion bacteria, and the stomach is a very acidic compartment,
30:37and there really isn't a lot of stuff living in there.
30:40The moment antibiotics flood in, they can't tell good from bad, and the massacre begins
30:46immediately.
30:47That's a little bit of an exaggeration.
30:49There are different classes of antibiotics, and they target different species or groups of
30:54bacteria.
30:54So some are considered broad spectrum, meaning they have very broad effects.
30:58We try to limit the use of those because, yeah, they can also kill some of the good bacteria
31:03that you want to have in your body.
31:05But then we also have more narrow spectrum antibiotics or specific antibiotics that are
31:09targeting the particular bacteria that you're sick with.
31:12Antibiotics are a bit of a double-edged sword.
31:14We don't want to wipe out the good bacteria that live in and on our body, but we also don't
31:18want to let dangerous infections run rampant either.
31:21In just days, up to 90% of your microbiome diversity is gone.
31:25That poor intestine.
31:27It's so desolate.
31:28That's not exactly what happens.
31:30Your bacteria in your intestines are pretty robust.
31:34It's not going to be left barren like this graphic is suggesting.
31:37Entire bacterial species that took years to establish are wiped out completely, leaving
31:43your gut dark, silent, and exposed.
31:47Again, this is very, very hyperbolic, but it does speak to a theme in that there is an
31:53issue with overuse of antibiotics.
31:55We don't want to use antibiotics when they're not needed, but sometimes they are needed.
31:59I feel like we're just going to get into more alarmist content.
32:02So I think the TLDR here is antibiotics have very useful medical indications when needed.
32:09Bacteria regenerate pretty quickly.
32:11And of course, having a healthy diet, high in fiber and lean proteins, that is one of the
32:17ways that you can continue to support all of the bacteria that are in your gut.
32:21All right, that's enough slop for today.
32:24Thanks for watching.
