00:03What are your thoughts about the announcement of the Chargers?
00:07So, for me, I like to go back to the start of the Premier League,
00:11how it was formed by five clubs.
00:14They broke away from the old First Division,
00:17received all the biggest broadcasting deals,
00:20generated their income through all the success,
00:22and then you've obviously had Chelsea,
00:25who've come in and spent big money.
00:27Now, all through history of football,
00:30from Division 3 up, wealthy chairmen,
00:33have come in like Brentford, Wrexham, Brighton, Burnley, Wigan,
00:38Swansea, Cardiff, the lifts endless.
00:40The chairmen have put money in,
00:42got them to where they wanted to be.
00:43So why, when City are doing it,
00:46do the red cartel, you know, your Arsenal's, Liverpool's, United's,
00:50write a letter after their American owners got together
00:54and begging the Premier League to instate rules.
00:57So, for me, it's all a flawed process anyway.
01:00Now, obviously, last year, City went to court with the Premier League
01:04and reached a settlement with them, based on the rules.
01:07And that was, you know, they won a few points on that, as it's been reported.

01:13And the weird one about this one, they've come out,
01:18they've come out of all this about independent panel and everything,
01:21and City are guilty.
01:22But then the Telegraph reported that the biggest one they've won,
01:26which is to do with, like, the inflation of sales and prices
01:30and sponsorship and all that lot.
01:31So, you know what? We've seen it. We've seen it here.
01:36We've seen them win teams on the pitch.
01:39Everyone else has spent money.
01:40United still spend big money.
01:42But, you know, they've raised their money now through the success that they've had.
01:45What do you think the sanctions will be if it does get to that point?
01:49I think if they are proven to be, like, done, I probably get...
01:54I don't think they'll get relegated.
01:56I think City bring too much money to the Premier League now.
02:00So, probably two-year transfer ban, £10 million fine or something.
02:05And what with Chelsea's?
02:08With being the City fan, whether you get found guilty on all the 114 reported or not,
02:13how is your trust with the club now?
02:15And how do you think the players will be feeling inside
02:17having found out what's actually gone on?
02:19Well, they've played football, haven't they?
02:21So, it's men v men at the end of the day.
02:24So, regardless of what the club...
02:28You know, the club have acted in the best interest of what they've done.
02:32Look at the brilliant infrastructure they've put in place.
02:35They've regenerated large parts of Manchester.
02:38They're bringing billions into the economy.

02:44Everton's were slightly different and I can understand why people say,
02:47Everton got fined, but Everton pleaded guilty, like, within a matter of minutes.
02:52Do you also think, because of what City do for the league, the revenue, the success,
02:56the stars that they bring, they should be given a more lenient view than other clubs who are smaller?
03:02No, not really.
03:03I do think, though, that you've got to go back to why they've brought these rules in.
03:08Because Newcastle have got a lot of money. Stoke City have got a lot of money.
03:12They can't spend anything.

03:17Like we've seen with clubs like Reading, you know, where they've had investors,
03:21they've got to the Premier League and they couldn't spend money and stuff like that.
03:27But, at the end of the day, if me and you open the burger chain,
03:31we should be able to invest money into it to get as good as McDonald's, you know what I mean?
