00:10When I'm out surfing, I find my peace, my peace of mind.
00:14And then also keeps me to forget about whatever crazy that has happened in my life.
00:23When I lost my dad and all this there was a whole lot of thinking.
00:30So normally when I'm surfing, I'm gonna give myself like, okay, I'm going for like two waves.
00:36It will end up by surfing for four hours.
00:44Surfing, surfing late, my bravo.
00:48Surfing is my life.
00:57I started surfing, let's say nine years ago, in a place called Eskipri Point.
01:04It's a paradise with each nature.
01:07You know, like trees, color of the sea, and then the people living in the community.
01:16So when you come, you just find peace of mind.
01:21Cape Tree Point is a very small village.
01:24And what we do in Cape Tree Point is farming and fishing.
01:29So that's where my mom was a farmer and my dad was a fisherman.
01:41Surfing is not that common in the area.
01:45So I'm trying to introduce some kids as well in the community.
01:50So I'm trying to build like a surf school in my area to educate the kids in surfing.
01:57Hoping that the surfing can also bring them like a new future.
02:00And then also if they are like in need of sponsors or like staff to also further up their education,
02:09then it will be always easy for them.
02:13My goal personally is all about helping to educate the kids in Cape Tree Point.
02:20And also to help for the surfing federation to come up in Ghana.
02:26And also to be able to support like any other local surfers in Ghana.
02:33Because if you ask me right now, it's very difficult for us to get like materials like surfboard, like wax,
02:43and then leashes, and then they are very expensive in Ghana.
02:57To be a big brother is all about showing them the way.
03:03The process that I pass through, that's what I'm going to share with them.
03:07That's why I started with them.
03:09So right now they know most of the time they ask me,
03:12Loshi, why are you not charging us for lessons and all this?
03:15But they are kids.
03:16So you have to show them their way.
03:19Show them the positive way, the easiest way, so that they can just follow.
03:25So they always see me to be their brother and then like their big hero.
03:30Because every time when I'm surfing, they watch.
03:33They want to do everything that I do.
03:45Ghana will be a surf nation.
03:47And after registering it, it's going to be big.
03:50We already sent some documents for people who are responsible to sign and everything.
03:57So that they become official.
04:00So there is a hope on this year, 2024, that Ghana is going to be competing in the Olympics.
04:18There is a belief and also there is like a sign that shows that the surfing in Ghana is becoming
04:26big.
04:26And there is like an occasional catch.
