In the twilight of the Five Dynasties period, a band of heroic thieves formed, comprising Shi Zhongyu (a master of disguise), Yuan Bao (an expert in mechanisms), Qi Fenghe (versed in shamanic arts), and Jian'er (skilled in both magic tricks and martial arts); they became renowned for stealing specifically from government coffers. The group orchestrated supernatural-seeming incidents to cleverly hijack official escort silver, investigated the massacre of the Su family, and dismantled the "Shenyin Sect"—a cult that exploited superstition to amass wealth. They eventually discovered that the mastermind behind it all was Liu Zhiqian, a high-ranking court official. While infiltrating the Liu estate to uncover the truth, they stumbled upon an even more earth-shattering conspiracy. Facing the Su family heir—who had mistakenly embraced the very man who destroyed his clan—alongside a host of eccentric martial arts masters, the band unleashed their unique skills and launched a thrilling, high-octane counterattack.
