BYD's 1,000hp Semi Charges in 20 Minutes and Gets 1.2 Million Kilometre Battery
BYD unveiled the ETT 44, its first heavy-duty electric semi for Europe, rated to haul the maximum 44-tonne combination allowed on EU roads — 4 tonnes more than Tesla's Semi. It uses a 651kWh Blade LFP battery (600km range) with a 733hp motor, charges from 20-80% in about 20 minutes on BYD's 1.5MW chargers, and carries a 10-year/1.2 million km battery warranty, with European availability targeted for 2027.
