"We tried a science experiment using colored water, a candle, a glass jar, and a small amount of alcohol-based perfume. The boys could not stop watching as the water began swirling and rising into the jar like a water tornado. One of my favorite parts of homeschooling is seeing their curiosity come alive during simple experiments like this. The candle changed the air pressure inside the jar. As the air cooled and contracted, it pulled the colored water upward into the jar, creating the mesmerizing effect we watched. Science is truly amazing," filmer, Joy, told WooGlobe.
