00:00Sometimes I feel guilty for wanting more for my life, for not being completely satisfied with what I have right
00:05now,
00:05for being so ambitious, because when you talk to people about your goals and the life you want,
00:10you will eventually meet people who simply don't see things the same way you do.
00:14And sometimes they remind you that other people have it much worse,
00:18that you just should be grateful for what you already have.
00:21And the thing is, they're right.
00:23I know I'm lucky, I'm grateful for so many things in my life and I never want to lose that
00:27gratitude.
00:28But I also struggle with this mindset when it becomes a reason to stop wanting more.
00:33Because if every time I dream bigger, I tell myself, yeah, but someone else has it worse,
00:38then when do I allow myself to want more for my own life?
00:41There will always be someone who has less than you, just like there will always be someone who has more.
00:46And I don't think someone else's struggle should become the limit of my own dreams.
00:51Everyone has their own story, their own journey, their own struggle and their own ambitions.
00:56And if deep down I have this almost burning desire to go further,
01:00to discover what I'm capable of and to build a life that's even bigger than the one I have today,
01:05I think I'm allowed to listen to that.
01:08It doesn't mean I'm a grateful.
01:09I can be grateful for what I have today without deciding that this is all I deserve to have tomorrow.
01:15And I think that's what I'm still learning.
01:17How to be grateful without using gratitude as an excuse to limit myself.
01:22Thank you.
01:22Merci.
