A BJP MLA was injured after his Fortuner SUV met with an accident on the Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr.
Chandra Pal Singh Lodhi was returning from Lucknow when the accident took place. As per India Today, the vehicle’s tyre suddenly burst, causing the driver to lose control and hit a roadside pole.
This came amid heavy rainfall in the region which led to waterlogging on parts of the expressway, causing the SUV to skid.
Lodhi sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital in Delhi, where he was undergoing treatment in the ICU.
