01:20and i mean he didn't have any rehab starts he just stepped right into the fray and and throw
01:28which what he said on friday is i'm a thrower that's what i do and um and he after 20

01:35was just going to be flying by the seat of his pants and he ended up throwing 91 pitches in

01:41went five and a third innings five hits two earned runs one walk six strikeouts including a gift i
01:50think from las diaz after pittsburgh had exhausted their challenges and i was okay with it i actually
01:55laughed out loud i'm like that's what happened that's a little tribute well that was his retirement
02:00game as well yeah behind home plate yes and then yesterday was his final game ever and uh it was
02:05interesting to see that that going on too but um there were a lot of moments from saturday that were
02:11great so who had the closest uh uh we'll start these are the three best nick had i'm going five
02:16innings eight hits two walks five strikeouts and what do you what'd you say five and a third
02:23went five and a third five hits two runs one walk six strikeout yeah so that's pretty close it's
02:28reasonable roscoe and goodrich six innings pitch six strikeouts three earned runs well they get the

02:46on 102 pitches that's pretty close stan that's pretty close so uh stan with the best prediction
02:55kudos to stan yep uh speaking of the coast did you did you see dude scherzer look he he wanted

03:04on short rest it was perhaps his final start he hasn't officially announced his retirement has he

03:41that's a hell of an outing may have been his and one of his top three outings of the season

03:45it lowered his era on the season below six he was above six and he finishes the year
03:51at 5.74 which is terrible but kudos to max is a heck of a heck of an effort there

03:58his last game as a major league pitcher you're still shy of jv he he hadn't you know yes he

04:03he hadn't top 97 pitches all year 114 114 and they tried to pull him earlier and he's like i'm

04:24there you go but this is about jv and what he did on saturday and he was incredible and in

05:07a glimpse of him while he's doing this the fact that you have no idea how it's going to work

06:59that's the cost of doing business sometimes i i loved it how las diaz was getting into it because
07:05everybody was challenging him and he was right all the time and he does a little dance himself when
07:10when both teams are out of challenges it was kind of funny and then you have the moment where he

07:17pulled off the mound and it is unbelievable and when he the second he sees his daughter you can
07:23see his body kind of heaving and convulsing because he's crying so hard and it was just perfect you know
07:30aj hinge is coming out and you know what's gonna you know something special is gonna happen but
07:36hinge goes over to talk to like the to the home plate umpire and like where's he going and then

07:42the daughter runs out it was incredible what a moment you know and hugging his teammates out
07:48there hugging aj hinge she's got his daughter and his hand in hand walking off and there's kate upton
07:52and and his son and they're like oh should we walk through the crowd because now come on we're going
07:57this way we're going in the tunnel you know and it was just a it was pretty perfect right okay
