00:18team this year i mean to be able to overcome the sheer amount of turnovers they had was pretty
00:23impressive and this was the best effort we've seen out of jim leonard's defense in the early
00:27stages of the season you know we've talked about this ad nauseum on your show dan anytime you're
00:32looking at coordinator changes it takes time for things to come together uh we are seeing that
00:38happen at the right time in buffalo because their offense had one of their worst games of the season
00:42and yet the defense was right there to pick them up against the chargers so i think the bills should
00:47be strangely encouraged by their ability to win this sloppy game and then on the charger side of
00:52things they just feel to me that it's almost like they're rudderless they feel a little bit dead in
00:57the water they have such a tough schedule coming up they're oh and three it is going to be a
01:01chore
01:02for them to kind of get back on track this season and just say hey we got to do our
01:07best to try to get
01:08into the wild card competition but i'm just not sure they have the ability to do that right now with
01:13how bad this offense looks especially along the offensive line jacob i gotta say this about this
01:19vikings team i mean i don't even know if they have an offense that thing looks like the army academy's
01:24like offense it just can't get out of its own way right now they're three and oh and they beat

01:30bucks i mean brian flores might just be the best d coordinator in pro football and what a job he's
01:37done so far what he did last week against chicago give us a little takeaway on what happened because
01:42i know baker got banged up in that ball game too but there's minnesota sitting at three and oh
01:48yeah i think brian flores is just a defensive mastermind and you just look at how aggressive
01:53he is he smells blood in the water when he faces these opposing quarterbacks he knows that if he
01:59blitzes them heavily he can force them into mistakes especially when he's going against either younger
02:05guys or guys like baker mayfield who have trouble with negative plays be it sacks or turnovers or trying
02:11to make trying to play hero ball when brian flores faces these guys he knows he can force them into
02:17mistakes so he's willing to say i'm going to blitz a lot that might turn this into a bend don't
02:22break
02:22type of defense at times but those splash plays the vikings defense makes it keeps them in games it
02:29gives them chances to win and to your point the vikings offense hasn't looked good yet kyler murray
02:34still kind of working out some of the kinks he missed a lot of the first two weeks as he
02:37dealt with that
02:38concussion but you know if they can just figure things out if kevin o'connell can turn that even
02:42into just a slightly above average unit with this defense this vikings team is going to be tough to
02:48beat and that's a massive credit to brian flores who i think is probably the best defensive coordinator
