SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS — Un joven identificado como Jesús Rancel Vázquez Muñoz, oriundo del sector El Capacito, se presentó de forma voluntaria ante las instalaciones policiales acompañado de allegados, y la representante de la Comisión de los Derechos Humanos, Rebecca Henriquez, luego de enterarse de que era activamente buscado por la justicia.

Durante su llegada al recinto, el joven manifestó desconocer los motivos específicos por los cuales se le acusa o se le requiere, afirmando que decidió entregarse por iniciativa propia para esclarecer su situación legal. «Yo no sé por qué, en verdad, por eso vine a presentarme», expresó ante los medios de comunicación.

Asimismo, señaló que aunque en el pasado había tenido ciertos inconvenientes con la justicia, todo se había resuelto de forma favorable.

Por su parte, Clemente Calderón, representante de la junta de vecinos de la comunidad acudió en apoyo del joven para pedir garantías sobre su integridad física.

El dirigente comunitario indicó que los residentes de la zona solo exigen que el caso sea investigado bajo el debido proceso, solicitando que el joven sea investigado si tiene cuentas pendientes, pero pidiendo explícitamente que se respete su vida.

«Nosotros lo que queremos es que se le resuelvan los problemas con él y que no lo maten», recalcó, explicando que las autoridades lo habían estado buscando en su sector en reiteradas ocasiones.
