When Nash woke up after a brain injury, she had forgotten her boyfriend and even her six-year-old daughter. What followed was a heartbreaking but uplifting journey of amnesia, patience, and love as Johannes helped her rebuild trust and rediscover who she was.

Nash explains that she had been dating Johannes for a year and a half and had already introduced him to her daughter before the memory loss changed everything. Because of earlier brain injuries and a possible hit to the head that night, doctors believed the incident may have triggered her amnesia. With support from Johannes and her parents, she slowly began piecing her life back together, one moment at a time.

The story becomes even more moving as Nash falls in love with him all over again, including the night she woke to find him watching YouTube videos on braiding hair so he could help her feel pretty. Later, when he proposed with a ring and matching necklace, it was an easy yes. She shares her recovery journey on TikTok and says it has taught her to value her brain, her memories, and every new memory still to come.

For fans of heartwarming love stories, real-life relationship recovery, amnesia stories, and inspirational emotional storytelling, this touching narrative offers a powerful look at memory loss, caregiving, and second chances. It is ideal for viewers searching for wholesome true-life romance, brain injury recovery stories, and unexpected love story content with a deeply human ending.

00:00When Nesh experienced a brain injury in 2022, she completely forgot her boyfriend
00:04and her six-year-old daughter.
00:23She'd been dating him for one and a half years. She'd introduced him to her six-year-old daughter
00:28and their future was looking bright together.
00:30The first time I fell in love with him was long before my memory loss.
00:33I fell in love with how smart he is and funny and kind and a little bit weird,
00:39which I am too and I really love.
00:42But when Nesh woke up one October morning after suffering a brain injury,
00:47all of that was gone.
00:49Nesh still doesn't fully understand what happened that night.
00:52She had actually suffered multiple brain injuries throughout her life,
00:55ever since she was in a car accident at nine years old.
00:58Since that accident, any bump to her head might cause a concussion
01:02and the doctors believed that night she could have just hit her head on the headboard of the bed.
01:07Whatever happened that fateful night,
01:09it caused Nesh to forget some of the most important and closest people in her life.
01:14Nesh was diagnosed with amnesia and it was up to Johannes and Nesh's parents
01:18to help her rediscover who she was.
01:21Johannes was patient with Nesh and he built back her trust step by step.
01:25Through the process of Johannes nursing Nesh back to health,
01:28she fell in love with him all over again.
01:30One night a sound woke me up and I found him watching YouTube videos on how to braid hair
01:35so that he could help me feel pretty when I wasn't feeling well.
01:38So naturally, even in my brain state, I wanted to marry this guy.
01:42I don't have a rank.
01:43No, no, no.
01:44How are you married?
01:45I will marry you.
01:47You're the best person.
01:49I don't, I have a speech.
01:50I'll give you a speech later, okay?
01:52The speech is the best part and I don't have all.
01:55Obviously, at the time, I couldn't consent to anything, let alone a marriage proposal.
02:00Nesh got better and eventually, Johannes proposed to Nesh with a ring and a matching
02:05necklace for her daughter.
02:07She said yes.
02:08It was the easiest yes I've ever said.
02:10Nesh is sharing every step of her recovery journey on her TikTok account and she says,
02:14this whole journey has confirmed to me that this is someone I want to spend the rest of my life
02:19with.
02:20And she also says that she's learned to value her brain and her memories
02:23and to spend as much of her life as she can making new memories.
02:27Sometimes real life is better than the movies.
