00:39And you were just coming from an event over at the White House, talking about that topic with the leaders
00:44of the industry.
00:45So, I thought it would be interesting to share a recap with the audience of the observations, perspectives that came
00:51out of the lunch that you can share, of course.
00:53Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:54Well, first of all, Joe, congratulations to your new team again.
00:56And, you know, when Joe and I first started talking about this, the one thing I said is, don't let
01:01it be a clusterfuck like America.gov.
01:04Hopefully, oh, whoop, sorry.
01:06Excuse me.
01:07Hopefully no kids in the back.
01:09Or, excuse me, like healthcare.gov.
01:11And America.gov has got to be the good version of that.
01:15And I think you guys have done an amazing job.
01:17So, give it up to Joe and his team.
01:18An amazing thing.
01:21You know.
01:25It is possible, actually, to build good software tools for the American people.
01:28You just have to have competent people doing it.
01:30And that's exactly what you've done.
01:31So, at lunch today, obviously, you know, I'd be a little bit careful about it because it was a private
01:37conversation.
01:37But, you know, what the president wanted to do is obviously be responsive, first of all, to the American people's
01:42concerns.
01:42Because you have a lot of doomerism about AI or superintelligence, as we're now calling it.
01:49And there's a lot of, you know, what's actually happening here.
01:52And I think a lot of Americans, when they think of AI or SI, they think, oh, my God, this
01:56is Skynet.
01:57Right?
01:57They think the Terminators are going to come and take over everything and, you know, take over our nuclear weapons
02:02and have the robots running around killing people.
02:04And that's just not going to happen.
02:05That's actually not going to happen.
