00:08Last night, an isolated strong thunderstorm moved across the north coast,
00:13producing frequent lightning across the northern range with more than 60 flashes detected.
00:20Heavy to violent rainfall rates were recorded across Maracas and Las Cuevas,
00:24with moderate to heavy rainfall across north-central Trinidad, with more lightning flashes reported.
00:31Elsewhere, light to moderate showers occurred across eastern Trinidad.
00:36Back in the day, my sister used to say those flashes meant God was taking pictures of you.
00:41So for old times' sake, I did strike a pose.
00:44But there was no footage shoot today, but we did have isolated showers that interrupted sunny to party cloudy skies,
00:52mainly across parts of southwestern Tobago, northern and western Trinidad.
00:58Through late afternoon, isolated showers favored western and hilly areas of the country.
01:04Now tonight, you can look out for fair-to-party cloudy skies with isolated showers,
01:10with minimum temperatures at 25 degrees in Trinidad and a bit higher in Tobago at 27.
01:15Now there is a very low chance of early morning thunderstorm activity,
01:19and conditions are expected to become increasingly hazy.
01:24So you already know that your face mask is needed tomorrow for that mild to moderate dust concentration.
01:30And along with your mask, you will need your sunscreen and your umbrella,
01:34because although the day will be hot, sunny and hazy,
01:39conditions will transition to cloudy with a few showers.
01:42You have the info, so don't let the weather catch you off guard.
01:46Daytime temperatures will reach up to 33 degrees in Trinidad and 52 in Tobago.
01:52And for our two-day forecast, look out for a rainy day on Thursday with mostly cloudy conditions,
01:58with occasional periods of rain that will interrupt settled intervals.
02:03Conditions are expected to become increasingly settled as the evening progresses.
02:08But Friday will turn up the heat and bring hot and sunny conditions,
02:12but there will be a few showers at times.
