00:00What were you doing when you were 19?
00:02Because at that age, Lamin-Yamal had already won the World Cup,
00:04the Euros and three La Liga titles.
00:07Don't worry, I haven't either, so keep your chin up.
00:09Well, somehow that doesn't tell the whole story about Lamin-Yamal.
00:12Yamal made his senior Barcelona debut at 15 years old
00:16and since then, the world's best defenders have had the same problem.
00:19Once he gets the ball on the right-hand side,
00:22time just seems to stand still almost.
00:24He isolates his defender, waits, watches their feet,
00:27Then comes the acceleration.
00:30Yamal can explode outside, but everyone knows what he really wants.
00:33That left-footed shot, the problem is stopping.
00:36His close control lets him change direction without losing any speed,
00:40while his vision means committing another defender
00:42can simply open up a passing lane inside for the assist.
00:45Does all of that maybe remind you of someone?
00:48At 19, Lamin-Yamal isn't just breaking records,
00:51he's deciding some of the biggest gains in football.
00:54World champion, European champion,
00:56one of the best players on the planet.
00:58And perhaps the frightening part,
01:00we may still be years away
01:02from seeing the best version of Lamin-Yamal.
