00:00Yes indeed, it was wondrous to behold.
00:03The most sparkling Sunday in the southwest of Tiruvananthapuram.
00:08And now we move to the northeast as Gauhati gears up for the second ODI.
00:16All set then with the series on the line at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium.
00:22It is India versus the West Indies in the Mutut Pinkop ODI series.
00:29For India at the back of his exploits primarily in red ball cricket.
00:35Led to a historic win for Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy.
00:39He has made his mark and is improving with his white ball skills as well.
00:45Be surprised if he gets the new ball.
00:57Full commitment to the shot from Campbell.
01:01Plugs a bit in the outfield but has enough to go for four.
01:05The West Indies are underway.
01:08Good intention.
01:09The moment he saw it in his half he said...
01:18Just timing.
01:19Wonderful from Kati.
01:21A boundary to finish the second.
01:23The 11 without loss.
01:25Oh, top shots.
01:27Really good from Campbell.
01:30Almost, almost goes all the way.
01:34He looks like he's in the zone.
01:36John Campbell.
01:41That's up and over from Campbell.
01:43Into space.
01:44Dealing in boundaries is the left-hander.
01:47Yes, when the mindset is positive, you will play these shots.
01:55Also, Sajet...
01:57Oh, dear.
01:59That'll be wide.
02:00No chance for KL Raul.
02:02And he runs these for the West Indies.
02:04Yes, it's putting pressure on the debutant.
02:12There's another lofted shot from Campbell.
02:15They're off to a pretty good start, the West Indies.
02:18A fourth boundary for John Campbell.
02:20Already signs this very little lateral movement so you can hit through the line.
02:29Experience of Rutherford that also returns.
02:31Good test for the outfielders.
02:33And it's really quick.
02:35Again, just timing from KC Kati.
02:38This is one of the best shots of the morning so far.
02:41The balance, the timing.
02:45Oh, brilliant catch.
02:47Namandeem.
02:48Diving forward.
02:50Kati is standing his ground.
02:54The umpires might have a look at this.
02:56But if it's all good, Prasid Krishna might have struck.
03:06That's it, I'm quite...
03:08Says, that's good enough for me.
03:13Oh, it is an excellent catch.
03:15KC Kati might well be disappointed.
03:22Oh, push through.
03:24This outfield is a good one.
03:28Just a push from Shea Hope.
03:30And it has the legs to go for four.
03:31West Indies captain off the mark.
03:35That hit three on that occasion.
03:39Quite a few survivors.
03:42That sounded so good.
03:45Shot off the morning.
03:4850 comes up.
03:50And that is a contender for the Apollo tyres.
03:52Go the distance award from John Campbell.
03:56That looks sick.
03:57Moment he made contact with the ball.
04:02With disdain.
04:04Just dispatched.
04:05Campbell's having a ball.
04:10Another fine stroke.
04:12A little higher risks on that occasion.
04:14Hitting a cross.
04:17So good from Campbell.
04:19He is toying with the field.
04:216-4-4.
04:24And managing risks properly too.
04:27That's an opening batter which is critical for success.
04:34Hammered away.
04:35He is unstoppable at the moment.
04:37John Campbell.
04:38He is off to a flyer.
04:40Well, he is pulling out his full repertoire shots.
04:44Front foot.
04:45Now back foot.
04:48And that was it hard.
04:51Campbell has played somewhat.
04:55Hits that hard length straight away.
04:57Time to say good afternoon.
04:58To Abhinath Mukund and Sunil Gavaskar.
05:02All runs.
05:04They need to get maybe 340, 350.
05:08Near about.
05:12High.
05:13Has it gone far enough?
05:15I think.
05:16It just has.
05:17And he's just.
05:19Hits with the length.
05:21Used the length that the batters look for.
05:24When they're looking to play the big shots.
05:27And on the pads as well.
05:32He's taking it apart here, John Campbell.
05:34In this power play.
05:35Continues along his merry way.
05:42As we were saying, it's not easy.
05:44Normally, you would have a long off and a long.
05:49Dispatched.
05:51He is in the zone, John Campbell.
05:54Partnership coming with this.
05:55Look at that.
05:56Just the ball in the slot.
05:59And he can use the extra pace that he generally.
06:02My goodness.
06:06This is outstanding.
06:08Simply muscular and impressive.
06:11From John Campbell.
06:15Nailed that as well by some distance.
06:20Striking at 181.
06:23Nine fours.
06:25And four sixes.
06:26Even they are impressed.
06:32More runs.
06:34And it's quick.
06:34It's such a quick outfield down there.
06:38Five wides for the second time.
06:41In the inning.
06:49Superb.
06:51Showing power on both sides of the ground.
06:55John Campbell.
06:56Sometimes you can catch a second win as well.
06:59After a little break and play.
07:01Yes, that seems to be the case.
07:03That's a terrific lofted off drive.
07:06He got a bit of spongy bump.
07:08That's a fine shot.
07:10Intentional.
07:12And beautifully executed.
07:14He likes playing in that area.
07:15Inside out.
07:16Boundary to end the over.
07:17Nine of it.
07:18One four four for one.
07:25There you go.
07:2765 ball 100 for John Campbell.
07:31Fifth fastest for the West Indies.
07:34And his second in one day internationals.
07:36It's been a brilliant innings.
07:40In 2019 was the last one.
07:44That's in the air.
07:46And taken in the deep.
07:49Soft dismissal in the end.
07:53Two minds there.
07:54Whether to go the distance over the top.
07:56Or keep it down.
07:58And he finds Namathir.
08:02So fine fine innings coming to an end.
08:04Three more on for the last piece.
08:09Streaky.
08:10But gets off the mark.
08:11With the boundary.
08:14150 comes up as well.
08:19He has a block.
08:23That's a good hit.
08:24Very good hit.
08:26Fractionally over pitched.
08:28And nicely put away by Hope.
08:33And he picked up a couple.
08:36From 40.
08:38And he goes again.
08:40Mitty blow this for six.
08:44So boundary followed by a six.
08:47Shipped in gears.
08:48I think he's had enough of running between the wickets in this heat.
08:56Goodness me.
08:58The timing.
08:59The speed.
09:01Wonderful shot from Django.
09:04185 for two.
09:12So while we talk about containment and economy.
09:16That won't help.
09:17Not Jadu.
09:18He needs a wicket.
09:20Very well played though.
09:22By the other J.
09:23Django.
09:27Exceptional good.
09:33Been driving ever so well.
09:35Amir Jango.
09:37The 200 comes up in fine style.
09:47This is an exhibition of controlled hitting by Amir Jango.
09:53He's got nine of the over.
09:55He looks in complete control.
09:56207 for two.
09:58Come on like Kuldi.
10:01The whiplash from Shea Hope.
10:05Terrific shot for four.
10:10Some good batting surfaces.
10:16Any width and Amir Jango just takes advantage.
10:25As if that's making any difference.
10:31Run scoring.
10:32Too easy.
10:33But take nothing away from the control and skill of Amir Jango.
10:42Oh lovely hit.
10:44He's picked it clean.
10:45He picked the length clean.
10:46And that's gone a long way into the stands.
10:53A couple of dots from Drasiddh Krishna.
10:57Oh beautifully done.
10:59Very easily done.
11:00Getting a bit too straight.
11:01And all he had to do was find some bat.
11:04And it's not been a happy outing so far for Akib Nabi.
11:08A hundred partnership coming with that leg glance for a boundary.
11:15Oh lovely.
11:16Lovely through the offside.
11:19Yeah it's been the feature of Shea Hope.
11:22His play through the offside.
11:2533 down 259 for two.
11:29Too short.
11:31And that's gone the distance.
11:33Easily put away.
11:37And Shea Hope.
11:41Oh if the left-hander hits.
11:43One.
11:47Good work in the deep.
11:49Very good work by Rohit Jarmah.
11:57Such a powerful shot.
12:00He's been so good Amir Jango.
12:0312 runs coming up that over.
12:06And it's a.
12:09Merry days for.
12:11Again.
12:13Result the same.
12:15Just getting himself into great positions here Jango.
12:21He was very impressive in the last game.
12:24And even more.
12:29He's making it look easy.
12:31Really making it look easy.
12:33Every loose delivery has been put away.
12:36And another boundary to it.
12:39Oh beautiful shot again.
12:42Yes knows where the field is up.
12:48Gets into good position.
12:50And if this is deliberate.
12:53Again the pickup shot.
12:57He's got plenty of runs.
12:59With the shot.
13:04And where he's.
13:07Now there you go.
13:10Once again.
13:12Lovely timing.
13:14You can see fine legs drop back.
13:16This deep square leg.
13:17He was always eyeing that offside.
13:19Opportunity.
13:22More runs.
13:25Well the wheels have come off here.
13:26This is pretty ordinary bowling.
13:30And getting hammered.
13:38For more.
13:4220th hundred.
13:43Push I hope.
13:46Only Christopher Gale has got more than him.
13:48He's gone past Lara.
13:52And if you needed a performance from a captain.
13:55It's come at the.
13:57That's up at the air.
14:00And taken.
14:04Seemed a tired shot.
14:06From Shai Hope.
14:10Looking to slog it away on the onside.
14:13Django on strike.
14:15And that's it.
14:17Second hundred.
14:18It's a brilliant innings this.
14:20You can see he's pumped up.
14:22Just 70 balls.
14:24He was very good in Trivandrum.
14:27But magnificent here.
14:30Everyone will be applauding.
14:35That's high.
14:38And taken.
14:41First ball.
14:49That's high.
14:51It's long.
14:53And it's a massive six.
14:57Just doing it with ease.
15:01And again.
15:02This is glorious.
15:05This is a magnificent batting.
15:08Again lovely use of the feet.
15:11T.
15:15Gone.
15:16Taken at backward point.
15:20So finally a wicket for Jadeja.
15:26And the ninth over.
15:29That's a top shot from Rosten Chase.
15:31He does have power.
15:32He'll need to take charge now at the back end of this innings as the 350 comes up.
15:42No one's catching that into vacant space and back-to-back boundaries for Chase.
15:48Once again.
15:50Emphasizing what a fine player he is.
15:59Don't need to lap it.
16:00You can hit a bullet straight drive like that.
16:04Oh it's Sharma.
16:05Over now.
16:10Call is for catch.
16:11And the most comfortable of catches for Vidar Kohli.
16:15200.
16:22Oh Rohit Sharma gives it up.
16:28Nice.
16:29Just bad on ball from Alzari Joseph.
16:31The outfield does the rest.
16:37Fielder in the deep.
16:38Rohit Sharma runs around and takes the catch.
16:42Jadeja has another.
16:46Jeez.
16:47That's one way to announce yourself.
16:49Shama Joseph.
16:51Extraordinary hit for six first ball.
16:56Now fielder.
16:58Oh he's made a mess of it.
17:00Kuldeep Yadavai.
17:01Hope he's okay.
17:05Just over.
17:08400 for the first time in the history of one day into Mastit.
17:14Well done Gurnur Brar.
17:17Good final ball.
17:19Seven of the last over.
17:21But that doesn't take away from a record first inning score for the West Indies.
17:26Welcome back to Gauhati.
17:28Where the West Indies have put up a massive score after being put into bat.
17:33After India won the toss.
17:35They made a record score.
17:37405.
17:38From their 50 overs.
17:44Straight away.
17:45Good carry.
17:46Hint of movement.
17:47Rohit not happy.
17:51Lucky.
17:52Very lucky.
17:53That wasn't far away from the off-stuff.
18:00That's for standing up tall and punching it through the top edge.
18:09It's gone the distance.
18:12Cutting into the sides.
18:16That's a cracking shot.
18:18That was the sound.
18:24That will be four.
18:27In the inside half of the bat as he was looking to work it on the onside.
18:34Nicely played.
18:36Very nicely played.
18:37He had seen the field that was set on the offside.
18:40Everyone.
18:43As picked away.
18:44Easy pickings.
18:46Fine leg up in the circle.
18:47He's drifted onto the bats and paid the prize.
18:5011.
18:51Open the knock.
18:53That's a pick-up shot.
18:55This time it's into the crowd.
18:58The 50 partnership comes up.
19:05Oh, that's nicely played.
19:06Tenebrick gave himself room.
19:11Gets a boundary.
19:12Chumar Gill this time.
19:14Shumar Joseph.
19:18Delightful.
19:19Delightful.
19:19Extra pace.
19:19Quicker they come.
19:20Quicker they go.
19:21Four more to Shumar Gill.
19:27All the way for...
19:29Six.
19:31Gill takes a liking to Shumar Joseph.
19:35Off the power play.
19:37Deep mid wicket now.
19:40I think Rohit Sharma deliberately went fine.
19:46Four more.
19:51What a shot.
19:54I was just saying at the start will be over that the previous all from Jadon Seeds was such a
19:58good over.
19:58Just three hits.
19:59Oh, yes, Rohit.
20:02Wichita number two almost into the crowd at Guwahati.
20:07Rohit Sharma.
20:08Kimo Paul, one ball.
20:10It's a good one to finish the power play, but India have started strongly.
20:19Four more.
20:21Runs just leaking now.
20:24Rohit makes Meri.
20:25Defensive.
20:29In the gap from Shumar Gill.
20:33Chase racked it down.
20:38In the air.
20:40And adds 201 sixes now to Rohit Sharma in India.
20:45Not even looking to force it.
20:50Oh, hammered away.
20:5350 for Shumar Gill.
20:56And that form and that ball.
21:00Crack.
21:01Possibly the biggest of the lot tonight.
21:05So easy.
21:11Oh, did I call it too soon?
21:14This time he goes down the track.
21:19Goes down again.
21:22Fetches it from outside the off-stump.
21:24And this is a big over.
21:26A biggie to finish.
21:2716 coming off.
21:30Full toss.
21:32And he goes straight.
21:34Another six to India.
21:36This time it's Rohit Sharma.
21:41This time it's the gap.
21:43He was searching for it.
21:46Very similar delivery.
21:48Beats.
21:51Yeah, just anticipating it so beautifully there.
21:55He knew it was going to be short of laying.
22:00I reckon that was the googly.
22:02Starting it around or outside the leg stump.
22:05Six runs of that.
22:09Beautifully flicked through the onside.
22:11What a way to get to your 100.
22:1511,100 in.
22:19Yeah, pulled away with disdain.
22:23He's making things very easy.
22:26Such as being the inning.
22:32200 comes up.
22:34Cannot stop these two.
22:36Gil has stamped his authority on this run.
22:41Well, Gil never looks like.
22:43He's tired.
22:44So easy.
22:46So elegant.
22:46Four more for the Indian captain.
22:48This is such good.
22:52It's a freebie.
22:55And it's too easy.
22:56They are making a mockery of a run chase of 400 plus.
23:0058.
23:03Thumped down the ground.
23:07Doesn't matter where the fielders are.
23:09Gil is a master at finding the gap.
23:1553 boundaries.
23:19Make that 34 boundaries.
23:25Absolutely.
23:32Goodness.
23:39Absolutely nothing for the baller.
23:49Artistry really is.
23:58Put that in the museum.
24:03ODI 100, number 35, from India's fabulous number 45.
24:15Very interested, Jaden Seals, and Saika gives it.
24:21Sure joy, sheer relief for the West Indies.
24:24And surely Roya Sharma will send this upstairs.
24:27He has.
24:27ODI out walks Virat Kohli.
24:33No respect.
24:35No respect.
24:37No stopping Shubmangil.
24:40Majestic.
24:43Just sit back and admire this.
24:46This is a batter at the peak of his powers.
24:53Just the appetite for a big, big hundred and Shubmangil.
25:03Welcome to the party without Kohli.
25:06Oh, fill your boots, boys.
25:14Unbelievable.
25:22If there's a gap, Kohli will find it.
25:25Twenty.
25:30Nine coming off it.
25:32Three of five for one.
25:34Young bowler.
25:36There's Virat Kohli.
25:38Chips one over the infield.
25:41And gets another four to his name.
25:51Very good, it seems.
25:53Very good, it would seem, by Shubhain Rutherford.
25:55It was a balancing act.
26:00Easily done.
26:01He just keeps marching on, Shubmangil.
26:04Absolute class.
26:06And hunger.
26:08Not just to get a hundred, but to get a big one and to go further.
26:17At that.
26:20To the boundary count.
26:26Shubmangil.
26:31Laws drags it down.
26:33Gil goes to 190.
26:45Boundary count just keeps going.
26:47This whole game is one long highlight reel.
26:50Dominate.
26:52This is the era of Shubmangil.
26:55The fastest double hundred in the history of ODIs.
27:00Only the second man to multiple double hundreds in ODIs.
27:05After the man he succeeded.
27:11Sensation.
27:14Shubmangil.
27:15Now in a hurry.
27:17To register this record run chase for India.
27:24it's falling apart for the West Indies that'll be five wide as India inch towards a record run
27:37chase the gill epic goes on and on to to to in their rewrites the record books they register their
28:01highest run chase in ODI cricket and they've made a mockery of a 400 plus run chase Shubmangil leads the
28:11way India's captain
