00:16sa ilalim ng Presidential Proclamation No. 319,
00:22ng Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers.
00:25Kasama po natin live sa studio si Atty. Rodolfo Serendrica
00:28at Engineer Simeon Perez.
00:31Good morning. Welcome po sa Rise and Shine, Pilipinas.
00:33Good morning.
00:35Good morning.
00:35Good morning.
01:38at saka yung pong ALMA, yung leadership program, management program.
02:05At ang mechanical engineering is always part of these changes.
02:10Nandito na po tayo ngayon sa industry 4.0.
02:14So, our practitioners should adapt dito sa changes ng technology na ito.
02:20And we take care of our members, our mechanical engineers,
02:25na makasabay sila sa pangangailangan ng industriya.
02:28Ito po bang industry 4.0 na ito?
02:31Do we consider it dito sa era na ito yung AI?
02:34Kasi di ba very prominent nga itong artificial intelligence?
02:38So, how do we adapt to this itong industry na kinabibilangan ng mechanical engineers?
03:11And this is done by AI.
03:13So, ang AI naman is a tool para mamamadali yung trabaho ng mga ingeniero.
03:18Rather than, nung una, slide roll tayo, drawing board ngayon,
03:21nasa computer-aided design na tayo.
03:23So, maraming computerization at the same time, mabilis yung information.
03:27Yung father ko po kasi mechanical engineer din,
03:30nagpa-fabricate po, nagmamold din yung mga,
03:32yung for injection, for plastic injection, plastic production.
04:03So, yun.
04:04So, yun sa sabi ko kanina yung 3D modeling,
04:06yun ang bagong technology ngayon na
04:08instead na mag-fabricate ka sa machine shop ng parts,
04:11nasa computer mo na lang,
04:13then ipiprint mo siya.
04:14Tinatawag 3D modeling.
04:15Actual parts gagawin ng makina.
04:18Okay.
04:18Now, let's talk about your collaboration with different sectors.
04:22Ano-ano po yung mga collaborative projects
04:24na sinasagawa rin ng inyong organization?
04:27And also, different sectors.
04:28Kasi alam mo, I remember, may naging guest tayo dito.
04:30Yung sa murang dialysis machine.
04:32Yes, yes, yes.
04:33Mga mechanical engineers din yung mga yun.
04:35You understand, mechanical engineers,
04:37you're all over different sectors.
04:39Lahat may mechanical engineering aspect yan.
04:42So, tell us about some of your projects
04:43in collaboration with different organizations and other sectors.
04:47If I may, currently, we have this collaboration
04:51na ina-arrange with the Department of Energy,
04:54which nagawa na naman namin ito noong during 2017.
04:59Well, in fact, ang magiging papel ngayon na binubuo
05:04ng mechanical engineers ay pagkakandak ng inspection
05:09ng ating mga power plant, technical inspection
05:13ng ating mga tech na mga power plant,
05:15dahil sa nagiging experience nating,
05:19ika nga ay, nang tawag natin dito,
05:22yung mga brown house, insufficient power supply.
05:24So, ang ating Department of Energy
05:27ay nakikipag-collaborate sa
05:31Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers
05:33in order to supplement their manpower
05:35in doing this kind of technical inspection
05:39sa mga existing power plant,
05:41particularly sa Visayas and Mindanao.
05:44Pero ito, sir, pagdating po sa usapin naman
05:47sa pagpapanukala ngayon
05:49ng Pax Silica Industrial Hub sa New Clark City
05:51para sa advanced manufacturing and high-tech industries,
06:00Well, number one talaga employment
06:02kasi tayo ini-export natin yung talents natin
06:05doon sa iba-ibang countries, no?
06:07Now, kung nandito na sa atin yan,
06:09then we have the pool of resources.
06:11Marami tayong mechanical engineers
06:12na talagang talento nila ay beyond
06:15and comparable doon sa ibang bansa, no?
06:17So, it will open really an opportunity
06:19for employment, yun ang tita ko.
06:22Okay. Pagdating naman sa renewable energy,
06:24isang usapin din yan and also being,
06:26I mean, advanced as well
06:28under this administration.
06:30Ano po ang magiging papel ng mechanical engineers
06:32sa pagsulong po nitong mga
06:34solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal, sir?
06:37Well, even nung hindi pa nung masyadong popular
06:40yung ating green energy,
06:41ang mga mechanical engineers are very active
06:44sa development, installation, and construction
06:47of all these mga energy, green energy natin.
06:54So, ngayon, nadagdag yung solar, all right?
06:56So, yung wind ay nadagdag na rin
06:59and all of these power generating facilities
07:04ay laging involved ang mechanical engineer.
07:07Starting from the design, installation,
07:10operation, and maintenance.
07:12Okay.
07:12So, yan ang malaking contribution
07:14ng mga mechanical engineers
07:15in power generation sa ating bansa.
07:18Oo. So, paano na lang tayo
07:19kung walang mechanical engineers?
07:33Yes.
07:33So, walang nuclear energy kasi
07:34mayroon tayong stigma na mga tao natin
07:38o dahil sa mga past events ng history.
07:41But, I believe it is a very safe technology
07:44kasi marami namang advanced technology
07:46to protect us.
07:47Of course, ang maraming question natin dito
07:49is the environmental impact.
08:00So, doon tayo magpapokus.
08:02Okay.
08:02Well, ngayon na ay pagdiriwang natin
08:05sa darating na pagdiriwang
08:06itong Mechanical Engineering Week.
08:08Ano po ang mga nakalatag na mga programa
08:11para po sa pagdiriwang na ito?
08:13Sa pagdiriwang ng aming Mechanical Engineering Week,
08:16ang aming major activities
08:18ay yung tinatawag naming
08:19Annual National Convention.
08:21In fact, from October 14 to 17,
08:26ito yung aming Annual National Convention
08:29and we are on the 74th Annual Convention.
08:32Wow!
08:32Next year will be the 75th,
08:35which is the Diamond Jubilee celebration.
08:38So, itong ating celebration na ito
08:41is not,
08:42hindi lang nakakonfine sa learning
08:45and we also include
08:49what we call these sports activities.
08:52Okay?
08:52We even included the Junior PSME
08:55or the Mechanical Engineering students.
08:58They will have some kind of competition
09:00in the design
09:02and innovation
09:03on this kind of stuff
09:05na ginagawa namin
09:07every year.
09:08but for this year,
09:10sabi nga natin,
09:11medyo bonggatious tayo.
09:13Ayan!
09:14Dapat naman talaga.
09:15Dapat naman.
09:16And this is some kind of a prelude
09:19for the next year's 75th Annual.
09:22Well,
09:23in fact,
09:23we are trying to
09:25ika nga,
09:26kick off
09:27the preparation
09:28for the 75th
09:29National Convention.
09:31Well,
09:31attorney,
09:32pleased to invite
09:33all the mechanical engineers out there,
09:34even students,
09:35to join your activities po
09:37sa pagtiriwang na ito.
09:39Yeah,
09:39of course,
09:40no?
09:41Sa lahat ng mga
09:42mechanical engineers natin dyan,
09:43mga certified plant mechanics,
09:45no?
09:45This is an opportunity
09:46to gather together
09:48under one roof
09:49where all of us
09:50will be there
09:51and we will
09:53share our experiences
09:55and we have a lot of things
09:56to show there
09:57in the NACCO.
09:57We have equipment show.
09:59Itong mga equipment naman,
10:00ito yung technology
10:02na makikita natin
10:03na sinusupply ngayon.
10:05So,
10:05this is a very big gatherings
10:06na magkakulon
10:08ng information sharing
10:09at saka
10:09it's a learning experience
10:10for all.
10:11Well,
10:13Yes,
10:13at balik ako yung sinabi mo,
10:14paano na lang tayo
10:15kung wala mga mechanical engineers?
10:16Kasi,
10:17yung hangir ng damit
10:19na plastic,
10:20yung mga
10:20hamba,
10:21yung lak sa pintuan,
10:22gawa yan talaga
10:23ng mga mechanical engineers,
10:24binomolden nila yan sa bakal.
10:26Even mo yung mga robotics,
10:28ano rin,
10:28mechanical engineers din yan eh,
10:30no?
10:31Alam mo,
10:32I salute really engineers.
10:34Ibang skills talaga nila
10:35ng mga ingeniero natin.
10:36May dad naman
10:37is a civil engineer.
10:38Oh,
10:39yes,
10:40hindi ba talaga yung mga yan?
10:41Well,
10:41maraming salamat po
10:42sa inyong mga oras
10:43at sa mga ibinahagi po
10:44ninyo yung informasyon
10:45mula po yan sa
10:46Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers
10:48nakasama po natin
10:49at N. Rodolfo Seredrica
10:50at engineer Simeon Perez.
10:52Mabuhay po kayo.
10:53Thank you, sir.
10:53Thank you very much.
10:54Thank you very much.
10:55Thank you very much.
