00:00Nous allons commencer par la fin de l'année dernière.
00:37C'est bon, c'est bon.
01:00This is one of those matches where you go, Kevin, you want to see a dead body?
01:04Yeah.
01:06Because somebody is going to finally go down and go down hard.
01:10But the struggle to that point is going to be a barn burner.
01:20Tomohiro Ishii is currently one-third of the Never Openweight Six Men Tag Team Champions
01:26with Hiroki Goto and Yoshihashi.
01:31But immediately, Yoshihashi has got the game face on.
01:37If there is somebody that steps up in a big spot, I'm not sure there's anybody as good as Tomohiro
01:42Ishii.
01:43Yeah, Tomohiro Ishii's got his game face on.
01:47Man, I am so pumped for this match right now.
01:51These guys are going to go at it.
01:55It's cliche to say, but these guys are about to have a war.
01:59You can feel it.
02:05Ishii and Manoro Suzuki, they're, we see how their bodies will wear down as the tournament goes on.
02:17Each man, though, comes in at 100% here tonight with a point to prove.
02:23And so, obviously, they're going to let it all hang out.
02:26Suzuki has had a summer so far that has been predicated on singles success.
02:34Defeating Yuji Nagata in an amazing main event, a special singles match back on the 31st of July.
02:41That got him in the running for and issued the challenge to Shingo Takagi.
02:46They met at Jingu Stadium for the Never Openweight title where Manoro Suzuki came in as the underdog but took
02:54the title from Shingo.
02:55So, Manoro Suzuki is the reigning Never Openweight champion.
02:59And a reigning champion has to be careful because any time you lose a match during the G1,
03:05the person that beat you is an automatic title contender.
03:09But neither guy is thinking about the Never title here tonight.
03:15Kevin, I should add that a little more fuel to the fire is when Manoro Suzuki was left out of
03:24the G1 last year.
03:27The terror that he raged after.
03:30He cried. He was quiet during the G1.
03:32He waited.
03:33As soon as it was over, he pounced.
03:36Yeah.
03:37And everybody felt the wrath of the evil emperor, Manoro Suzuki.
03:43He beat Okada in that tag match in the last night of competition.
03:46That got Suzuki the title match that we had at World Quest.
03:50And now, Manoro Suzuki pastes the ring.
03:54The menacing presence of the king of her wrestling.
03:57Tomohiro Ishii awaits.
03:58And a slugfest will ensue.
04:00Between Tomohiro Ishii and Manoro Suzuki.
04:04We are just seconds away.
04:06Don't expect these two to feel each other out.
04:21And after being left out last year, Rocky, you think he's got a point to prove here this year?
04:25Oh, yeah.
04:27This A block is stacked, Kevin.
04:30It's stacked.
04:33Marty Asami will be the official for this match.
04:39Bell sounds, and here we go.
04:42Already chest to chest and throwing hands.
04:52Suzuki opening up, backing Ishii into the corner.
05:03Ishii blows up.
05:04He spins Suzuki around for more of the same.
05:15Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh.
05:17Immediately looking for the gotch.
05:18Wait a second.
05:19No, wait a second.
05:20Don't break us or no.
05:21Wow.
05:25What a flurry to start.
05:27These two men met in England last summer or two summers ago.
05:32Some of the best matches we've ever seen.
05:41He might have gotten knocked out.
05:44Better be careful.
05:48Yeah, when you talk about the history of the British heavyweight championship,
05:56those battles are just like no other.
06:02You should have to watch out here.
06:04Yeah, he comes down, gets caught.
06:07Now, right arm has been problematic for Ishii for a long time,
06:12and immediately Suzuki goes after it.
06:16And now out on the floor, right in front of the commentators.
06:20Here is Ishii into the fence.
06:23Just so much history between these two, Kevin.
06:29and an interesting dynamic, you know?
06:36And again, their roots certainly are in the origins of this company.
06:45Minoru Suzuki is a young lion, wrestled Antonio Inoki.
06:50Ishii really had to fight his way into this company.
06:53And it took a few years once he was here to earn respect, but now he has everyone's respect.
06:58But you also think about the experience level that they have fighting so many different opponents
07:05in so many different situations outside of New Japan for the wrestling.
07:09You know, Minoru Suzuki being a former Triple Crown winner.
07:15You know, Ishii's days in Michinoku Pro, in WAR, where he primarily got his start under Riki Choshu in tenure.
07:27I mean, this is the very base and levels of what strong style is in Japanese professional wrestling.
07:36And these two guys show it, this style, all around the world.
07:43And no one does it better.
07:44Ishii is showing the effects of the right arm attack that Suzuki had when he was draped over the top
07:49of it.
07:51And I'm not sure that Ishii has the steam on those forearms that he wants.
07:55And just got put down by one big shot from Minoru Suzuki.
08:01Can you imagine, Rocky, 52-year-old Minoru Suzuki in the shape that he is in.
08:06Still able to deliver the power that he is.
08:09Absolutely. I mean, it's technique, Kevin.
08:12You know, you don't need to have a lot of power.
08:14You know, Suzuki is not a guy who needs to be hitting the weights or anything.
08:17His technique is so good. He's been there for so long that it's just deadly.
08:24It's just deadly.
08:25Ishii running the buckle.
08:28Ishii comes forward. Suzuki cuts him off with the boot.
08:30But the power slam from Tomohiro Ishii puts Minoru Suzuki down.
08:39And that's always Suzuki's soft spot is power moves.
08:43If you go power, Suzuki can't really counter that well.
08:49But if you're going to go toe-to-toe or leave him an opening for him to submit you, he'll
08:54take it.
08:58Backdrop there from Ishii.
09:00And you see how that takes some of the fight out of Minoru Suzuki every time he gets dropped with
09:05a high-impact move.
09:08But you've got to be able to catch a hold of Suzuki.
09:11And now the mount.
09:14Oh, look at this, Rocky.
09:16Wow.
09:20Dangerous area right there.
09:21Yeah, this is poking the bear, as they might say.
09:25Dangerous territory.
09:40Dangerous territory.
09:41Come on!
09:42Come on!
09:42Ishii to hit him, and he does.
09:45Doesn't change the expression of Suzuki.
09:48But he winds up and delivers.
09:50My God.
09:50And Ishii doesn't go down, Rock.
09:52No, no, no, no.
09:55Ishii barely staying up.
10:00And still grinning through the pain with a smile.
10:04Oh, and he hits him even harder.
10:06And Ishii still won't go down.
10:08Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
10:10But he's in trouble, Kevin.
10:11Yeah, he might be out on his feet.
10:14And referee Marty Asami taking a look
10:16in the eyes of Ishii.
10:18Oh, wow.
10:18And he is out on his feet.
10:20Nothing.
10:22Oh, Suzuki's got him rocked.
10:24He's got him exactly where he wants him.
10:28Oh, man.
10:29We might get a rough stoppage, Kevin.
10:31Yeah, Ishii's crumbled to the mat
10:34as Suzuki has put him down.
10:39Marty Asami better be careful.
10:42And now Suzuki with a very long memory
10:46and obviously going to not forget
10:52what Ishii was doing to him a few moments ago.
10:54He's out.
10:54He's dead weight.
10:58He's dragging him up because he doesn't want a ref stoppage.
11:02Oh, PK.
11:07Now I'm going to try again to pick him up,
11:10perhaps for the gosh no, another PK.
11:13Suzuki is looking for a definitive win, Kevin,
11:16a completely definitive win to make a statement
11:20and a point to everyone else
11:23that he's going to torture his opponents.
11:27But look at Ishii stiffen up the third PK.
11:31And this time Ishii doesn't go down.
11:34In fact, he's getting up.
11:42What is he doing, Rock?
11:46He's not human, Kevin.
11:56And now Ishii hits the ropes.
11:59Suzuki, misdirection.
12:00Ishii tries the same play, gets stopped with a knee.
12:03We're making choke, no.
12:06Pushes him off, here we go.
12:08Tackle, no.
12:10Ooh.
12:13Those two boots.
12:15Up in the third with that German suplex.
12:19And you see how that takes the fight
12:22out of Suzuki for a second.
12:27puts him down with the back suplex.
12:33So Tomohiro Ishii and Minoru Suzuki,
12:35it has been a slugfest,
12:36as we predicted here,
12:37the tournament opener for both men,
12:39but a smile on the face of Minoru Suzuki.
12:43Will he be able to put Tomohiro Ishii away,
12:45get his first two points?
12:47What do you think, son I am?
12:48What do you think, son I am?
12:50What do you think, son I am?
12:51What do you think, son I am?
12:51What do you think, son I am?
13:09Slugfest continues.
13:11Two of the best trash talkers in the business.
13:14Oh, yeah.
13:15Yeah.
13:16Oh.
13:18Oh.
13:23Oh, man.
13:25Oh, man.
13:25Those club strikes.
13:27My.
13:29Oh, man.
13:30Hey, hey.
13:31Hey, hey.
13:32Hey, hey.
13:34Hey, hey.
13:35Hey, hey.
13:35Hey, hey.
13:35Oh, yes.
13:37That slip.
13:38Oh.
13:39Can't slip the head butt, though.
13:40Oh, man.
13:47Suzuki answers with a head butt of his own.
13:52Oh.
13:57Oh.
13:58Oh.
13:59Oh.
13:59Oh.
13:59Oh man.
14:00Oh man.
14:01Oh man.
14:02Oh man.
14:03Oh man.
14:06Oh man.
14:07Il faut faire une autre chose.
14:09Le dernier, peut-être.
14:12Non, il va pour le full.
14:14Il va pour le full.
14:14Il va pour le full.
14:14Oh, il va s'en fout.
14:18Il va s'en fout.
14:20Oh !
14:24Oh, mon...
14:27Il a juste drop Suzuki sur ses tête.
14:33Il a juste...
14:33Et maintenant, Minoru Suzuki
14:35est engagé,
14:37pour le déficit de sa saison.
14:39C'est ce qu'il est arrivé?
14:41Oh, non !
14:42He a la pâte !
14:42Il a l'air !
14:44Il a l'air !
14:45Il a la pâte !
14:46C'est bon !
14:47Il est à l'air !
14:50C'est arrivé !
14:56Oh !
14:59Oh, enziguri lads, put Suzuki down again.
15:04Suzuki was going for the armbar, but Ishii delivered the enziguri.
15:14And now Marty Asami taking a look at Suzuki as he's pulling himself up along the ropes.
15:20What a fight so far.
15:22Lariat lads.
15:24One more no.
15:27Pulling him back out to the center.
15:29Oh, takes his feet out.
15:32Oh, this is the difference with Suzuki.
15:35Yep, the choke.
15:36Just a touch, though, for the rear nigger.
15:38He's going for the dodge.
15:40If he hits it, it's over, no doubt, but he can't land it.
15:48She escapes, takes the boot, though.
15:51Comes back with that short lariat.
15:59Clubbing each other.
16:00Clubbing each other.
16:01Hit this!
16:02Oh!
16:08The big one puts him down.
16:18Whoever survives this as the winner or the loser, Kevin, is going to be hurting.
16:23I'm thankful there's a day or two off between the next match.
16:28Yeah, their next action will be on Wednesday.
16:34Winding up the big...
16:35Oh, man.
16:38Steps into it.
16:40He's on speed.
16:42And Suzuki down.
16:43The lariat again from Tomohiroishi.
16:45It doesn't stop.
16:47I love it.
16:48I love it.
16:56Just mad men, Kevin.
16:58They're just mad men.
16:59Dropped him with the headbutton.
17:08Here comes Ishii off the ropes.
17:13Suzuki tries to turn inward to try to negate some of the effect of that clothesline, but
17:17he still got met full force.
17:19Vertical drop brain buster.
17:20Here we go.
17:22Ishii.
17:25Whoa, what a reversal.
17:28And can he get him?
17:31And can he get him?
17:32And got him.
17:34Crunches it with the gotch style pile driver, and Suzuki wins this war.
17:40Wow.
17:4213.0秒.
17:43Suzuki Minoru選手の勝利です.
17:58Well, it's everything that we anticipated that it would be, everything that you wanted
18:02to see out of Minoru Suzuki and Tomohiroishi, but Minoru Suzuki wins the war to get his first
18:08two points of his G1 after being left out of the field one year ago.
18:23What an earned victory that was.
18:26Holy cow.
18:37So Suzuki will tangle with Taichi and an all-SUZUKI-GUN affair on Wednesday.
19:09mais holy cow
