00:11good to see you again Trinidad and Tobago's footballers are currently locked in action
00:16with Curacao in the CONCACAF Nations League at last check Curacao leads 1-0 in the second half
00:22against a 10-man national team TNT is yet to win a game in the tournament they are currently fourth
00:28in Group A behind leaders Curacao Haiti and Dominican Republic who each have six points so far
00:35TNT has been defeated 3-2 against Haiti and 2-1 against the Dominican Republic meantime Curacao
00:42has defeated Costa Rica 4-3 and Nicaragua 6-1 before the match TNT's Molik Khan outlined the
00:49importance of the contest at Willemstad games the first two games that we play we could have more
00:57than get the results but it's in the past now it's how football is and I think being in this
01:02situation
01:02I think at the start of a tournament or start of the group we wouldn't pick or we wouldn't decide
01:08to be in this situation you know or even choose it if we had the choice so the fact of
01:13the reality is
01:14that we are here now and we just have to deal with it we have to be ready and just
01:18as we didn't have a
01:19good start we can have a good finish he believes victory is on the cards if everything else goes
01:25according to plan for me woke up everything aside everything after the World Cup aside for me is
01:33just that I think we're gonna win this game well over in the secondary schools of Football League
01:38Tobago as Signal Hill stopped presentation San Fernando in a back-and-forth battle in the Premiership
01:43Division Press Sando at one stage up to one but a penalty in the dying moments of the match has
01:49sealed the
01:49win for Signal Hill Press Sando taking on Signal Hill the Tobago team struck first ball headed there
01:56to what scored you cut out there by Duncan and the referee says it's gonna be a foul against the
02:02ball
02:02quickly taken play there towards Watkins Watkins is there with it can Watkins get the shot off he gets the
02:06shot an excellent build-up and finished by jameki Watkins however press sando equalized to curl this one
02:19in curves it in nice ball opportunity goal presentation the goalkeeper thought of going and then he retreated
02:31another goal from the dead ball press sando goes in front to one the ball is there now
02:36played inside by Watson a nice ball again it back for head goal Watson again assist second assist in the
02:43game and it is presentation college now who has pulled as it were the game away from Signal Hill
02:50a defensive blunder gave way for Signal Hill to get back into this match bounce through goes through as
02:56Watkins Watkins takes it away Watkins an opportunity and it's gone gone by Watkins the defender made a
03:04mistake in terms of his control the ball bubble from him and as soon as it bubbled it was Watkins
03:11who
03:11pounced on it late in the game the ultimate sin happened in the box the ball is paid on the
03:17line
03:17towards Watkins can Watkins keep it in can Watkins get a crossover Watkins beats back on the inside and
03:21he curls it in towards the back post no one is there control the referee ball came up the hand
03:27and it's
03:27going to be a penalty it is going to be a penalty and a card shown there to the number
03:3310 player and
03:35you gotta feel it for him having the ball drop on the surface and skid on him and he couldn't
03:41get the
03:41hand away from it midfielder Akim Duncan had the job of finishing things off and that he did Signal
03:49Hill takes the three to win at the Bertil Sinclair Recreation Ground Sergio Dufort is export well in
03:55the latest round of standings in the SSFL st. Mary's College leads the way with 15 points from five
04:02matches st. Benedict's College follows with 12 points with Arima North completing the top three so
04:08far Signal Hill's win puts them just behind in fourth they are also on 12 points but good news in
04:16West Indies cricket the cricketers that took part in the regional four-day tournament have been
04:20reportedly paid it might sound like a standard transaction but apparently there was a delay in
04:26the payments to some players it was serious enough for CWI CEO Chris Derring to answer questions on the
04:32reason for the late payments with all the problems already happening in West Indies cricket
04:38could there be any other issues yet unresolved well CEO of Cricket West Indies Chris Derring has had
04:45his hands full outing fires in the immediate that involves paying players uh can you confirm that um
04:51um mr mr mr derring that uh today you were able to uh to pay the players i know that
04:57was outstanding i
04:58know that they uh called and they weren't very happy about that but good news you're able to um
05:03on to pay the outstanding monies is that right uh Chris can you confirm that well we're always
05:09trying to prioritize player payments that is a a policy within Cricket West Indies so as soon as cash flow
05:15allows we usually pay um their fees first so that would have taken place today as per norm we
05:22we i mean there's always a lag between when the players pay play and when payments are made right okay
05:29well so that's very good news indeed it's not just the salaries it's resolving matters with member
05:35associations as well you know the super 50 tournament 2024 i've been hearing that um you
05:42were able to but we're trying to reach an agreement with Barbados as you know Barbados took the matter to
05:48court uh what's the latest on that Chris can you can you tell we're still in discussions with the
05:53Barbados Cricket Association but we're obviously trying to settle it off here this this is something
05:58that happened even before my time so um you want to get rid of these little niggling um disagreements
06:05as quickly as possible okay right well i'm hearing that um an offer was made to the Barbados Cricket
06:10Association that was refuses is that true well i don't think um we can discuss and negotiate with the
06:17Barbados Cricket Association in public we continue to have discussions but but i get friendly um
06:22shareholders indeed questions were also asked about the money in the bank under the previous
06:29administration as compared to now what happened between when Johnny Graves said that things were
06:35looking good and now can you tell me Chris well of course listen i i never try and second guess
06:41the circumstances now prior executives would have taken various decisions because you know i wasn't in
06:49that circumstance i wasn't in this situation and therefore um i don't second guess what other
06:55managers would have would have done well Dering says there's a misunderstanding when it comes to the
07:00interpretation of their balance sheet i guess the weaknesses of the Caribbean is even how
07:05the Caribbean understands how to read a financial report i remember seeing a report in the newspapers
07:12about an 80 odd million dollar windfall for right and it was kind of if it wasn't so tragic it
07:19would be
07:19funny because sure you know you need to understand the difference between revenue and profit you can
07:25get 88 million dollars of revenue but if it takes you 60 odd million dollars of expenses to get that
07:3188
07:32million dollars of of revenue you're only going to make 20 million or so profit um so there's no
07:38there was no 80 million dollars um that i could add certainly that i would have found when i came
07:43to
07:43create west indies now all he has to do is solve the debt crisis facing west indies cricket
07:48as he dishes out his plans for 2027. Sergio Dufour tv's export to the ladies west indies all-rounder
07:56aliyah lane is looking forward to the upcoming three match women's t20 series against home side
08:01zimbabwe saying the objective is to aim for a clean sweep the windows women beat their opponents
08:062-1 and they just concluded odi series but alain was disappointed as a couple world cup qualification
08:12points were dropped along the way i'm hoping that we don't put the markers on it the west indies won
08:19the women's odi series against zimbabwe by a 2-1 margin with all matches being held in harari
08:24with world cup qualification points at stake for the 2029 tournament
08:29all-rounder aliyah alain said the ladies in maroon were aiming for a clean sweep at the start
08:33as i said we were a bit disappointed because when we came when we came here we talked about collecting
08:39all um all six points a bit disappointed but i think that's how cricket goes we we just reflect
08:45and we came back harder and i think that just shows the character of this team and i think
08:50we are just um looking to move on from here and looking to tally where she will be pakistan where
08:55we
08:56be playing next day and looking to grab our six points the team's next play a three-match t20 series
09:01also in zimbabwe's capital even though the windys are without a key player alain and company are ready
09:07for the challenge the goal is to win every game we we go there and play and i think it
09:13was it's going to
09:13be a good challenge for us they have hey my friend's not going to play this the 20s um series
09:19so i think
09:19it's an opportunity for our youngsters and myself to have that opportunity and go there and express ourselves
09:27this was the first meeting between the two sides and international cricket
09:31and what does alain think about the african country yeah lovely it's similar um rather to
09:37west indies so that was a plus for us maybe not today a bit chilly but i think all in
09:44all is a good
09:44experience being here in zimbabwe and the hospital our hospitality been really great the three t20
09:51matches take place on saturday monday and wednesday vinod narani t6 sport very well no haley

10:43the other battles including captain sriya sire had a tough out in the middle

14:32and doesn't he do it brilliantly that scoreline changed in the 67th as the perfect ball was

16:09being magnificently caught by sri lankan captain sahan arachige this is an even better angle of that
16:15one-handed catch which shows dubai driving only for arachige to dive and plug the ball out of the air
16:22it felt like something was gonna happen a swing and a miss then a miss stumping and then even though
