00:23She noted that they may have already reached a basis for cooperation,
00:28pointing to the recent dinner between PH and Bersatu leaders as an example.
00:33Meanwhile, Akademi Nusantara's Azmi Hassan argued that UMNO could use PH's openness to talks as leverage against PAS,
00:41particularly during seat negotiations.
00:44He said Melaka BN's decision to postpone talks with potential allies until next week
00:49could be part of a strategy to pressure PAS and Perikatan Nasional to accept UMNO's proposed alliance.
00:55On Tuesday, AMANA Communications Director Khalid Samad said PH was open to working with any party except BN and PN.
01:04However, Melaka AMANA Chief Ashraf Mukhlis Mingat dismissed these remarks as Khalid's personal view.
01:11PH Election Director Amiruddin Shari also dismissed Khalid's statement,
01:16saying the coalition was still keen on forging an alliance with BN in the Melaka polls.
01:21BN has yet to commit to an alliance for the Melaka polls,
01:24despite previously stating its intention to work with PN after the BN-PN pact
01:30secured a two-thirds majority in the August 1 Negeri Sembilan election.
