00:00Carlos Quiroz has left his position as Ghana's coach for the second time in just few months
00:06after the Ghana Football Association agreed to terminate his contract.
00:09The 73-year-old Portuguese coach returned to lead the Black Stars on September 3,
00:15but his second spell lasted only a month.
00:18His departure follows disappointing results in African Cup of Nations qualifying,
00:23including a 2-0 defeat to Ivory Coast and a 4-2 loss to Gambia.
00:29Quiroz first took charge of Ghana in April replacing Otto Addo,
00:34but resigned after Ghana's elimination from the World Cup following a 1-0 defeat by Colombia.
00:40The coach said he returned determined to help build a stronger future for the Black Stars,
00:46but that the necessary conditions were not fully established.
00:49The Ghana Football Association said the decision was reached by mutual agreement
00:54and in the best interests of the national team.
00:56No replacement has yet been announced.
