00:01Ahead of what's expected to be a busy weekend for travellers around Australia, not only because of the NRL grand
00:07final, but also with a public holiday in some states, there'll be plenty of people on the move.
00:13Now the services union says Jetstar passengers this weekend can actually expect to have fees like excess baggage and seat
00:20change waived.
00:21Now that's as a result of the industrial action the union says thousands of its members will be participating in
00:27today.
00:28The other element of that is not partaking in administrative tasks and of course there's work stoppages as well.
00:35Now those will happen a couple of times throughout the day at different airports.
00:40So depending on the airport there might be one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
00:46Jetstar says there shouldn't be any issues or any delays as a result of that industrial action.
00:52The airline says it has contingency plans in place and the airline also says it's disappointed that the union has
01:00decided to take this action this weekend because it's such a busy one.
01:04The airline also says that it's put a reasonable and fair pay offer on the table.
01:09That includes a 2.1% pay rise this year as well as a further 3% bump next year.
01:15The union in response says that's not good enough and it's vowing to continue the industrial action in order to
01:22send the airline a message.
