00:02Matthew Olivier and Zach Metza.
00:04Oh, yeah.
00:05I see, like, watching the game, listening to you, you obviously,
00:09and the Sabres, to a man, went over to talk to Metza afterwards
00:12and, like, you know, give him a fist bump.
00:14So take us through what you felt during that moment.
00:16There's a delayed penalty, if anyone wasn't watching,
00:19and Olivier taps into the Sabres' empty net, and Metza kind of grabs him,
00:24and then it's –
00:24And this is, like, their toughest guy.
00:26One of the toughest guys in the league gets a hold of Metza,
00:29and Metza stood in there.
00:31And, Rob, did you feel like that was lame on Olivier's part?
00:34Because, like, come on, you've got the smallest guy.
00:36You're going to hold – he held him for a while.
00:39Yeah.
00:39He could have just kind of moved on, and I thought he recognized he got a small guy
00:45and he was going to get his moment.
00:47Yeah, but he was already in that position, so he was kind of –
00:50you know, he had to do something.
00:52And I think more when he taps that in the net,
00:55and that's where I think he got the initial penalty for.
00:59But he's just looking for a reaction.
01:01He knows they're getting a penalty called on him.
01:03So, he's looking for a reaction.
01:05He does that, and then maybe he could draw somebody else into, you know,
01:09a penalty to kind of even things out.
01:11I can understand what he was doing to tap it into the empty net.
01:14And it's – certain guys can do that, and certain guys can't.
01:18And I think he may be one that can and get away with it.
01:22But I think what Zach did was off the charts great because he knew going into that
01:28he had absolutely zero chance in coming out on top on this unless he falls down
01:32and you fall on top of him.
01:33But the good thing is, yes, you watch every one of those guys go over the box
01:38and give him, you know, fist pump or whatever to let him know, good job,
01:44because they know – everybody knew that he could be in a huge pile of crap right there
01:51because of Olivier.
01:52And I think Olivier could be the toughest guy in the league now.
01:56And he – you know, did he hold back?
01:59A little bit.
02:00He could have maybe did a little bit more,
02:02but I think he did what he had to do and then moved on.
02:05But that's a ballsy move right there.
02:07And knowing that there's a good chance that he's going to turn around
02:10and give you one.
02:12And I'll tell you, me as a person that maybe played that way,
02:16I would – when you go against a guy like Olivier,
02:19you're second thinking at times too,
02:21and you're really – kind of a lot of things going through your head.
02:23How am I going to handle it?
02:24How am I going to do it?
02:25And I would bet – Matt was just kind of going in,
02:28how am I going to get through this instead of just, you know,
02:30what can I do to try to get myself in a good spot?
02:34But I thought he did really well.
