00:00Welcome to 30 Minute Meals where I show you recipes that take less than 30 minutes to make.
00:04Today we're making Sanbei Ji, our 3 cup chicken. The 3 cups are coming from the rice wine,
00:09soy sauce, and sesame oil. It's a super flavorful chicken dish and can be made in no time. Start by
00:14cutting skin on chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces. Traditionally, you would use bone-in
00:18chicken, but I didn't want to get my hands dirty. In a wok, heat sesame oil and stir-fry slices
00:23of
00:23ginger, 15 to 20 whole garlic cloves, and chilies until fragrant. Add the chicken thigh and cook
00:28until slightly browned. Pour in Shaoxing wine, light soy sauce, thick dark soy sauce, and rock sugar.
00:33Give that a mix and simmer on medium-low heat for about 10 to 15 minutes with the lid on.
00:37Remove the
00:38lid, raise the heat, and stir until the sauce has slightly thickened. Finish with a little more
00:42sesame oil and a handful of Thai basil. Finally, serve with a bowl of hot rice, and that's it. Enjoy!
