00:00My mum at the time was obviously working and the school had called her and said Evie has
00:05this closed off by her and dad. I never told her but I was always told to keep it a
00:09secret by my
00:10dad. The next day I was obviously meant to go to school and I wasn't allowed. I had to do
00:15an
00:15interview straight away. I was very nervous so when I was in this interview I remember having
00:20a break halfway through the interview because I just couldn't handle it. I just remember having
00:24to talk about everything in detail. I was left on radio silence because the court trial was delayed
00:31because of Covid so I was kind of trapped indoors not doing school. I wasn't doing dance. I refused
00:38to sleep in my own bed. The police didn't talk to us. I had no support. My mum was stuck
00:43at home with
00:43an 11 year old girl who's just disclosed that her own dad and basically her ex-husband has
00:49turned multiple times. I think that is when my depression was very bad. I wasn't really talking.
00:56I finally did get my phone back. I remember this one specific day and I was just I was just
01:01little.
01:02I was making slime and the police woman calls and she goes Evie sent a text message to her dad
01:08and it
01:08says do you still want to be my family? I didn't remember that but um my mum and dad had
01:14obviously
01:14broken up a few years prior due to him being and he met a new woman within two weeks so
01:21he was
01:21already engaged to this new woman. That message was used against me which was probably one of the
01:25hardest things.
