"வாழ்க்கையில் எத்தனை சிரமங்கள் வந்தாலும் உங்கள் இலக்கை மட்டும் ஒருபோதும் கைவிட்டுவிடாதீர்கள். பெண்கள் சுயமாக எழுந்து நின்று, தங்கள் லட்சியங்களை நோக்கி துணிச்சலுடன் பயணிக்க வேண்டும்" என்று சைலஜா கிரண் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

01:00If you are a human being, you are bound to have some problem or the other in your life, at
01:05some time or the other. And what one needs to do is not to give up.
01:10That's what the teachers need to know. That's what the students need to know.
01:15That is what makes teaching such a remarkable profession. In many professions, you can see the result of your work
01:23immediately.
01:23A doctor treats a patient and sees the recovery.
01:27But a teacher may have to wait years, sometimes decades, to see the full impact of his or her work.
01:36You may teach a student today, but years later, the student may return to the campus and say,
01:44Sir, Madam, do you remember me? Perhaps they will add, you believed in me when I did not believe in
01:52myself.
01:53I cannot think of many rewards greater than that.
01:57Dr. Ambedka did not see education merely as a qualification.
02:02He understood education as a force for empowerment, dignity, independence and social transformation.
02:11He famously said, cultivation of mind should be the ultimate aim of human existence, which is so very true.
02:21Every single day, we need to cultivate our mind, remove all the negativities.
02:28Like how when you cultivate a farm, you know, my grandmother used to tell me when they used to cultivate
02:33in our farms,
02:35every day they used to weed out not only the thorns, but also stones in the field.
02:40Okay, so similarly, we need to weed out all the negativities on a daily basis and culture the positivities in
02:50our minds.
02:50To be a better human being, to be a contented human being, to be a happy human being.
02:58Education creates capabilities.
03:02Equality creates opportunities.
03:05Leadership creates change, and values create lasting impact.
03:13A machine may provide information, but a teacher provides context.
03:18Technology can answer a question, but a teacher can help a student understand which questions are worth asking.
03:28Technology generates the answer.
03:30Teacher can help a young person understand whether that answer is ethical, meaningful, and responsible.
03:40So, I would say that let's not fear technology.
03:44Let's not blindly accept technology either.
03:47Let's see the use of technology, whether it's intelligent enough,
03:52whether it can help the students learn better, and it helps make easy the difficult concepts.
04:01Let's explore it, and whether if it helps personalize learning, let us embrace it.
04:08When we hear the word leader, we often imagine somebody occupying a senior position,
04:14someone with authority, someone standing in the front, or someone giving instructions.
04:20But leadership is much more than position.
04:25Leadership is about responsibility.
04:28A good leader listens.
04:30A good leader creates opportunities for others, and also, most importantly, gives credit to others.
04:39A good leader accepts responsibility when things go wrong.
04:43Our young men learning to respect women's leadership.
04:48Leadership, because gender equality cannot be built by women alone.
04:54It requires women and men to build it together.
04:58We often speak about external barriers, but there is another barrier that can sometimes be even more difficult to overcome.
05:05It is the voice inside us that says, perhaps, I'm not ready.
05:11Leadership rarely arrives with a certificate, saying, you are now ready.
05:16Very often, leadership begins before we feel completely prepared.
05:22That happened in my case.
05:24I was just 27 when I was asked to manage Maradha Sitchit funds.
05:28I was not ready.
05:30I was there working already for four years.
05:33But then, was I told already to run the company?
05:38No, I was learning, I was, you know, I had started conducting the business, but then when I had to
05:46take up the leadership due to management change.
05:50And then, it was scary because it is public money that I have to manage.
05:56But then, I was focused, determined, hard work, lots and lots of sacrifices, compromises that every, any man would do.
06:08You know, it is like a woman has to do more than what a man compromises to be in the
06:16leadership roles.
06:17I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm going to be minimizing , I, I, I, I'm going
06:17to stop by the team کہ find your problems and I'm learning into, and I think that many of these
06:17operations can be done through any questions from the team.
