00:00We want to get away from this ridiculous way and custom of every twice a year turning your clocks back,
00:10turning your clocks forward, being late for dinner, being late for very important meetings. It's ridiculous. And if you look
00:17at the public, they agree. That's a 100 percent issue. 65 percent. I'll give you an example. Right now, we're
00:24sitting out here. It's light. It's nice.
00:27If you come down here in another three weeks, it'll be dark. It'll be — who wants it? We want
00:35our sunlight in the afternoon. But more importantly than that, we don't want to change clocks twice a year. It's
00:43very expensive. It's got many problems. Even crime, as crazy as it sounds, when you have light, you have much
00:52less crime.
00:54So, the House voted it more than 80 percent. It's been sitting up there. And hopefully, we can get Tom
01:01Cotton to move. Tom Cotton is holding it. He shouldn't be holding it. It's an issue that people want.
01:07We had it a long time ago, but they used it for other purposes to get something else approved, and
01:13they gave it up. But people want to have light in the evening. But really, what they want more than
01:18that — more than that, by a lot, they don't want to have to go around changing clocks.
01:23I have the same thing. Last time, six months ago, we're changing clocks, and nobody changed the clocks, and everybody's
01:31late. It takes people — it discombobulates everybody.
01:35So, we can finally have a vote. We have the vote in the House. Mike Johnson did a great job.
01:42Now, we'd like to have the vote in the Senate. Tom Cotton is holding it up.
01:47You know who wants it? The farmers want it. You know who wants it? Sports want it. Professional sports and
01:54amateurs that would like to play tennis at night, would like to play golf a little bit without having to
02:00run home after 14 homes. It's ridiculous.
02:04It's very expensive to do. It's not a good thing. People don't want to have to change their clocks twice
02:11a year. It's a lot of work for a lot of people.
02:14They're running around for two days, changing all the clocks in their house. So, it's an easy win. And I'm
02:21not even talking about for the Republican Senate, for the Senate, because it's a very bipartisan issue.
02:28And Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, a state that I won by 35 or 40 points — I don't know,
02:36by a lot — he's got to do it, because it's really — it would be a very nice win
02:43for the United States.
02:44Senate and for the people.
