00:00that's great yeah good to see tom vial up and running again and everything and uh like he said
00:05only the bike was destroyed more than he was so but yeah no track time uh 15 minute warm-up
00:10this
00:10morning uh seven or eight corners into the not even into the the race and that was it that's all
00:16uh she wrote but here's how the riders line up then fevere vial there's a big hitters here mxgp
00:20and open everybody pretty much on 450s fevere vial prado garcia for spain garcia and spain hoping
00:26for a good solid ride here with both their riders can they lift the peter chamberlain trophy
00:30in 2026 for the first time can they get their podium for the first time kunan and evans ferrato adamo
00:37raceless uh carlis and paul's jonas van der most like and hurlings julian baumair and cooper webb
00:43they're of course still in the hunt for a podium potentially depending on what happens in the
00:47opening laps of course and of course the uh defending champions there jet beaten aaron tanti
00:51they will be going to the grid ninth ahead of taylor hamill and ben watson and the rest of the
00:57riders there uh just a side note here as we are in france of course uh later on this year
01:0121st 22nd
01:02of november uh on mxgp tv of course we've got the paris supercross and uh yeah xavier aduar just
01:09reminding me a little earlier today that uh in terms of their lineups and things like that they've
01:14you know they're doing great deals behind the scene get lucas and sasha there as well and uh
01:18uh ken roxon's going to be there they're hoping on muki and uh one or two others joe shimoda tom
01:24vial who we just spoke to which is why i brought it up so lots to uh look forward to
01:29in the break
01:29jorge prado focused on race three he was a solid performer in race one second he was disappointed to
01:37throw away that race uh lead but as jeffrey hurling said in his post-race interview after race two
01:44looking forward to the big race you know with the big guns with him with fevere with prado with
01:49lucas kunan with uh you know those big names cooper webb you know and uh of course he'd be hoping
01:55to
01:56uh combat them like he has done on many occasions in uh mxgp this year but roman fevere now this
02:02one's
02:02about a personal pride yeah and i think the same goes for for jeffrey too like all these guys jorge
02:07prado has a little bit more at stake at this point but somewhere in all of them they want to
02:13prove a
02:13point that they're the best rider on earth at the moment well tom vial how he got up from that
02:21first race his first race that second race crash a moment ago we will never know but as he said
02:27in
02:27his post-race interview there the well pre-grid interview he was fortunate he landed more on the
02:31downside so he was able to sort of like roll out of it rather than sort of come to a
02:35sudden stop
02:36lucas kunin a big unknown again he was solid in race one though with a third place finish for belgium
02:40and it's belgium who lead the way as things stand right now they are on 26 the netherlands on 33
02:48spain
02:49on 47 but spain have more lower numbers in their sort of armor if you like
02:55inside gates here hurlings there prado there jet beaten interesting to see hurlings and prado next to
03:03each other and you know prado is a better starter than jeffrey hurlings normally but that was when
03:08yeah once upon a time yeah
03:10is that beau maire there in the middle of the gate quite possibly rodvin fevers in the middle of the
03:21gate we'll see that next to beau maire yeah beau maire hasn't gotten a good start all weekend long so
03:26far
03:26mr ingo parch signals the fly race in 15 second board to go up for the final time as he
03:31will retire
03:31after this event five second board will turn the gates will drop the final race of the season 30 minutes
03:38plus two laps here at urne who will win the peter chamberlain trophy in 2026
03:46oh ferrato stalls out of the gate ferrato lifts over the gate he stalled it and it's jorge prado with
03:53a
03:53foxhole shot that fevra goes by and he leads the way for france even though they cannot win the overall
03:59he is going out he wants to go out on a high prado knows that he launches around the outside
04:04on that
04:04reworked circuit on that turn and he launches back into the lead jeffrey somewhere around five
04:12all the all the main players are up front this is going to be a lot of fun liam evitz
04:16there in third
04:16hurlings up the inside of panzer finds his way into fourth quickly panzer being pushed back to fit
04:22but jorge prado it is who leads the way where is vial in all of this he's in about eighth
04:27place
04:27just coming in to land off that jump there in the background and already evert's up into second he's
04:32found his way past roman fevra as well fevra coming back for more though very tight going into that
04:37left-hander how did fevra avoid the rear wheel of the belgian ahead of him and the belgians where is
04:44lucas kunin he's in 13th place so they put everts possibly in the favored gate position i would imagine
04:50we'll probably see that from a replay of the start but hurlings in no move hanging around he's also
04:54found his way past roman fevra
04:59as he moves into that third place
05:05i wonder what uh fevra's mindset is yes he wants to hold himself accountable go out with a race win
05:10just like he did but he also knows that france can't win this and does he not want to get
05:15involved
05:15in the battles with the other contenders maybe i don't know i doubt he's having that kind of
05:19mindset but how heavy that turn is at the bottom of the hill now inside or outside there are the
05:23options well i think we're getting our answer here look fevra going straight after jeffrey hurlings
05:29yeah i kind of wondered how much urgency jeffrey would show here he's all season long though he's
05:34been really kind of straight to the front he hasn't really been that patient very often but prado's a
05:38different animal also right so he kind of needs to get there and not allow prado to build a gap
05:43well jeffrey hurlings if he wants to go after jorge prado for a potential race win to show who is
05:47the
05:47best 450 rider in the world he can't afford roman fevra to go back by him here because that will
05:52definitely scupper his chances liam evitz there in second third is hurlings fourth on the jump now
05:57over on that far side almost out the front door clipped the top of that dragon's back roman fevra
06:03and these top four riders here prado evitz hurlings and fevra pushing an insane pace on this opening lap
06:09yeah that was big for hurlings to get a little bit of a gap because if you notice for about
06:12seven turns
06:13in a row he had to ride defensively to block where fevra was so now he can actually ride the
06:17lines he
06:17chooses to ride now he's got liam evitz right there ahead of him evitz for belgium on the hasfana
06:23belgium still lead by one point at the moment over spain these are crucial opening laps here the
06:30netherlands are on 36 and hurlings goes down and that will maybe knock them off the podium well they've
06:35got a bit of round to make up have latvia but latvia in that fourth position at the moment and
06:42latvia
06:42just there with paul's jonas oh it just grabs put foot pegs and then can't get his legs out
06:47he goes down on his left shoulder awkward place to go down and that falls away quite massively out of
06:52that turn blocks watching it from here just those long deep ruts he just wasn't clean he wasn't
06:59settled he tips over and let's off for evitz and let's off for belgium i think he was hoping to
07:06get
07:06down the inside and pressure william going into that right maybe dive inside him there and just just
07:11rush it a tiny bit where is garcia garcia is the rider we need to keep an eye on because
07:16he is in
07:1713th place at the moment and it will correct as we hit the line this time around there is lucas
07:24coon and the second of the belgian riders he is up to seventh place a big race this for belgium
07:28and for
07:29spain there's cooper webb the number six he's in the american he's in fifth position ahead of tom
07:36vial vial number nine for france i mean webb has vial kunin and hurlans all over him at the moment
07:45and
07:45goes defensive in that inside there and vial couldn't find his way by again defensive here for
07:49webb and you see the difference in drive the outside gives you and vial goes past and cuts across to
07:57the
07:57right hand side webb read it well and he goes the long way around here he still believes there's a
08:02pass on but look at the urgency the intensity of vial it's actually a really nice counter by webb
08:08there didn't have the line but shows you where his head is as far as fighting forward
08:12so hurlings just behind kunan that's these two bottom of your screen here your race leader over on
08:18the inside on that right hand turn just to their right and here comes webb again yeah webb's not going
08:24to be thrilled with vial kind of moving across on him a couple times he moves up a position he
08:31moves
08:31into seventh place a little untidy there for the belgium coming out of that turn it's still a one
08:38point game at the moment between spain and belgium belgium lead the way on 24 when they throw away
08:43their worst score spain on 25 they are on pursuit on course for their podium but they are so close
08:49they
08:49want the overall victory coming in as pre-event favorites alongside france yeah yeah and you just
08:54wonder how how aware will they be these teams be of the map belgium spain seem to be the two
09:01now
09:02battling for the win herlings cuts to the inside here looking for a way past cooper webb who out
09:08drags it heading up that start up that hill there but then hurlings fights back immediately
09:15and he takes webb on the line there as he moves up in the sixth and webb down to seven
09:21he now goes after
09:22the out but it's fevere who's the fastest on track in third about a second behind evans a slight bobble
09:28there a nervous look over the shoulder because he wasn't sure whether webb was left or right of him
09:33yeah webb just dodging the roost most of it too just trying to stay out of the way so he
09:37can actually see
09:38where he's going
09:42cooper webb brand new bike he looks good on it you're right you know this he's so little experience with
09:50the bike this situation his last season of pro motocross i mean honestly looks aggressive he looks
09:57five years younger am i saying that right prado is only 1.8 seconds clear evans i thought he checked
10:03out a moment ago uh jorge prado he would have liked to anyway look at webb harassing the dutchman here
10:11jeffrey hurlings these two turning back the clock what 2016 charlotte mx2 grand prix final round of
10:16the championship anybody hurlings won the first race and then uh won the championship and webb
10:20beat him in the second race to win the gp i mean this is this is apropos for hurlings this
10:25is i mean this is
10:26a crazy good ride for webb he hasn't shown this much fight outside of iron man all season long wow
10:31commitment to the outside there helped by a couple of mistakes but neither hurlings vial or webb were
10:36cleaning through that whole section but it was hurlings who came out singing and smelling the roses
10:40because he's found his way past vial as he moves into fifth place oh he's untidy through there
10:46this is how hard he's pushing he wants to win this race he's on the edge on the edge absolutely
10:51we've
10:51not seen that from him in a while he hasn't really had to be he's been so much better than
10:55everybody but
10:55it shows you what it means to try to go chase down prado i don't know if that's realistic or
11:00not
11:00but in his mind it still is three riders they're heading up the hill look lucas kunan
11:06cooper webb he wanted vial back yeah webb wanted vial back i vial cut across him twice
11:11on straightaways i knew that did not sit well with webb and he finds his way finally he did make
11:17it
11:17make the past stick up the hill but this is good fighting spirit this from cooper webb isn't it you
11:21know proper captain's performance he was six in race one he's wants to be the proper team performer here
11:28where's his teammate julian boomer he's in 15 uh 15th position at the moment
11:33on his red bull ktm a very last minute addition to the squad whip going after lucas kunan
11:40oh he just landed heavily got forced forward there at the belgium
11:44on the number 10 at the top of the hill there drone getting a little too close there to roman
11:48fevere as he goes after evarts this is the second position here belgium versus france it's important
11:54that they've kept prado inside here you know i think prado would have loved to have pulled away
11:58here it's going to make the second half of his race much more difficult as these two absolutely
12:02go at it devra tried to get at the inside but it wasn't to be ever still hanging on there
12:07belgium
12:08still leading they've got a three-point gap at the moment over spain as it stands right now
12:11because garcia is still in that 13th place
12:15yeah we talked about the pressure that garcia would feel in this race he has
12:18got to move forward 13th respectable yes but you look ahead of him could he get a guy like ben
12:24watson jed beaten past that it gets really challenging well here comes fevere goes outside looks to get
12:33alongside i thought he was going to maybe try and jump across the left there and set up this move
12:37here
12:37but he's done that anyway but he can't make that past stick they've reworked the track there but it's not
12:43an advantageous line at the moment that outside still working well and you notice the inside now
12:47doesn't float to the outside it kind of bends back upon itself so the outside is much safer now
12:52than it has been all day look at that crowd listen to that noise look at the urgency of evans
12:57as he
12:57fights to win the peter chamberlain trophy for belgium alongside his teammate lucas kunan who is in six
13:03he's got his hands full here with the frenchman roman fevere france cannot win it but fevere can still
13:09put in a performance he does not want to send the french home disappointed the fans that is
13:14fevere looks spicy here oh spicy
13:19he's definitely up for it i know that there's prado not disappearing
13:25how far is hurt hurlings is 11 seconds behind the leader at the moment
13:28fair for around the outside he moves in the second takes a point away from belgium and a position
13:36brings up another point closer to spain which is not what they want
13:40it'll be 23 plays 24 in a moment as they hit the intermediate sector belgium still leading by a
13:47point hurlings really needs this battle to shape up here and slow themselves down it doesn't have
13:54to be drastic but if they could take a second or two a lap off of each other that would
13:58allow hurlings
13:59to possibly fight you see him look over you see him look to his right there he wants to know
14:03exactly
14:03where that battle is exactly and we are still 20 minutes plus two laps into this race he has time
14:09in his
14:09pocket and we know how strong he is at the end of the race this is yan panza live on
14:13board with the
14:14slovenian here saw a track marker in the middle of the track not sure if vegan was out there or
14:19what that was no he was in a spider-man suit yesterday
14:25anyway this is yan panza temp jp 253 hurlings another mistake on the exit the back end just
14:31hopping out to the left-hand side there on the exit of that turn but he has clear as day
14:37daylight now
14:38seven seconds to make up to evans and he's going to go to work he can't afford any more mistakes
14:43if
14:44he wants to go 1-1 here in the nations yeah it's interesting to hear him talk about he wasn't
14:49talking about netherlands being in the fight or anything he wanted to get with these guys at the front
14:57that's prado oh there's favor this is uh deja vu to race one three years ago between these two
15:04all weekend this year too all weekend this year
15:08but prado led didn't he in uh 2023 fevra found his way by
15:15was about a second or so in it by the time they hit the line they went at it in
15:19the uh qualifying race
15:21they've been at it in the first race it's been these two that have risen jeffrey hurlings wants
15:26in on the act as well but he's still 10 and a half seconds down on the battle for the
15:31lead
15:31which is right here between jorge prado on the red bull ktm and the kawasaki racing team mxgp
15:37machine of the number seven roman fevra fevra victorious in race one he wants to go away with
15:43the mxgp class win if it stays like this prado wins the mxgp overall just looking at evarts and
15:53hurlings evarts will hurlings will still take the the class win which will equal the six class wins
16:00that evarts liam evarts his dad has stefan evarts of course but he wants to do it with the one
16:05one
16:06well he's got some tough company here because he's still languishing nine and a half seconds down yes
16:11he's gaining ground but he's got to find his way past evarts and fevra then prado if he is to
16:15win
16:16this race jeffrey hurlings tall order at the moment at the moment and oh he goes down catches a tough
16:23block this is going to help hurlings cause because he's going to sail by in a moment
16:29and also evarts going by in that second position another vital point gained
16:37french mechanics trying to understand actually what actually happened there
16:40just gets off to the right high sides right into the tough block and that's a water post there
16:46which is why it's uh padded out unfortunate but he did get out of control at that moment
16:52now he's got to rejoin the racetrack and hurlings moves into third pants to fourth
16:57fevra from second to fifth
17:01this is actually really good news for jeffrey because i think that will allow prado to
17:05check up a little he's not going to be as pushed and then jeffrey's pace can increase
17:09and make it make it easier to get to the front
17:12so after six laps and jorge prado now with a 3.9 second advantage over liam evarts that's the
17:17daylight that evarts need that prado needed at this stage of the race hurlings another five and a
17:22half seconds further back 9.4 off of prado and lucas kunan just here behind roman fevra in sixth
17:30position fevra in fifth place panzer in fourth for slovenia and again belgium still lead by a point
17:3622 for belgium spain on 23 when you throw away the worst results from both teams the netherlands
17:42are third with 36 and vial is out of the race he knew there was no point carrying on anyway
17:48but uh he wasn't too badly placed was he in this one but obviously just maybe the injuries or just
17:54the occasion or the what are we fighting for kind of thing we're not going to be first or second
17:58or
17:58third and so uh he's just gone back he didn't have a word of himself we didn't sound very confident
18:04right like even though he said he's fine you could just tell the undertone that there wasn't a lot
18:09of a lot left in him for today and so not that surprising to see him out of this race
18:14right fevra now going to work on jan panzer these two 14 and 15 seconds down on the leader jorge
18:19prado
18:20who's now four seconds clear of evarts
18:24but uh evarts good response look 51 for hurlings with the fast wow have you seen the lap time
18:30prado that time around 151 483 evarts 150.772 hurlings 147.9 he's 2.9 down on evarts and he's
18:39only six and a half down on prado do not write him off well also thinking about the big picture
18:45here yes
18:45garcia could move forward but if he didn't this could come down to whether hurlings gets to the front
18:51and knocks prado down a spot or not because they right now they are one point out yeah could all
18:56change
18:57it is on a knife set here doesn't matter what roman fevra does here he will not be interfering with
19:04anything of course unless he goes down or makes a mistake runs wide he's only one and a half seconds
19:09clear of lucas kunan and kunan gains a point to distance themselves by another point over spain
19:14there he is that's how close he is the belgian
19:19pit boards are crucial the messaging that they give to their riders at this stage of the race because they
19:25know they're in the fight and that's all they need to know in the fight 27 jonas and that's going
19:31to hand uh usa fourth at the moment but uh they're what 14 points off of the podium team usa
19:37but you
19:38know what everybody talked to they say they didn't give them a chance coming in here fourth place is a
19:43pretty respectable result all things considered it's much better than i thought i i had them somewhere
19:48between five and seven but i have to give so much credit to the effort that cooper webb has put
19:53in today
19:53not it's not a shock this guy has stepped up every time for team usa but this is a ride
19:59i didn't know
19:59that he had in him at this stage here comes jeffrey hurlings downy inside he will get this right
20:03oh i'll tell you what evarts again he likes that outside line but what a lap jeffrey hurlings has had
20:10he was the fastest rider on track last time around 147.9 he's going to be the fastest rider on
20:14track this
20:14time around as well with a 149.5 to compare to the 51.2 and 51.8 of prado and
20:21evarts 4.2 4.8
20:23seconds separate the first three riders i haven't seen jeffrey push like this in a very long time
20:29i don't think he had to i mean maybe the battles with lucas maybe going back to like guacamole
20:34this is he is on the edge he wants to beat prado that's all it is this is all about
20:39this is about him
20:39prado he goes past evarts he moves into second there's daylight now between him and prado and
20:44a potential race win he said after the race he was looking forward to this race the big guns
20:49and he wants to win it prado is not going to make it easy well he's not been in this
20:54position where
20:54jeffrey over the when he won his world championships yes he won his championship jeffrey wasn't nowhere
20:58near fit but he still won his two mxgp world titles you've got to fit hurlings and fit prado and
21:03they're going to go toe to toe and i think we're going to see for the first time prado realize
21:08how
21:08good this kid is well even at 153 years old well you know prado love him or not he will
21:15beat you
21:16and then tell you about how he beat you and how he's better than you that doesn't sit well with
21:20these
21:20guys often and a guy like jeffrey doesn't want to hear that that is where all this emotionally
21:24emotional riding comes from here's the gate drop then we know hurlings is over on the right hand side
21:30gates there he was the front end pouring at the air so he uh was relying on the uh hole
21:36shot device
21:36there but it was fevere who got around the outside of prado there was evitz in there as well so
21:40too
21:40ben watson on the 48 to the inside watson still in that 10th place just behind jed beaton there's
21:46fevere through the middle as we suspected and it almost worked for him jeffrey just wheelied a tiny
21:51bit and i get proud of the edge
21:55here is roman fevere 11 seconds down on evitz already thinking about what could have
22:00been if vial if valance didn't have their problems and of course if he hadn't hit that
22:07tough block when he was closing in on evitz for second on this part of the racetrack when he
22:10demolished that top block yeah i mean it's something about this race the patriotism it's they these
22:16guys push harder at this race than they do even in world championship events uh you know i think it's
22:21a one-day event right so they're not thinking about preserving points or anything moving forward but
22:26there is a different effort put out here a moment ago we were talking about if kunan could find his
22:30way past fevere and pull a point back for belgium we haven't considered actually webb finding his
22:34way past lucas kunan to take a point away from belgium and give a point back to spain because that
22:39is a
22:40possibility here because this guy hasn't raced uh in a long time because of his injuries i just
22:45think it was possible for webb to move forward from where he was but this moto has been a revelation
22:49for cooper webb and and yes panthers still back there yes there's a lot of racing left to go but
22:54i have
22:54not seen cooper webb ride this well in a very long time in motocross well the 15 there the uh
23:00open
23:01class rider for the slovenians just pulling aside
23:08you know what webb is turning back the clock here he looks like mx2 cooper webb this is 2015 era
23:13webb
23:14right i and maybe that's exaggeration but i'm just telling you i've watched cooper webb race for a very
23:18long time and it's not but you can just see that supercross was where his heart was where his
23:23motivation was he's all in he's all in right now this is everything he's got and he's been all in
23:28right from the start of the year hasn't he like i want the shot of the nations he knows if
23:32he's going
23:32to be fine like you know he's finished his outdoor season career okay he's only on a supercross only deal
23:37next year from what i understand and from what he said you don't get opportunities like this if you're
23:42only racing supercross because you're not doing the outdoor season you're not going to get up to
23:45fitness or speed meanwhile it is game on 2.6 seconds it was a moment ago this is the gap
23:53now
23:53as we run down to the line at the end of lap 10 a 51-2 a 50.8 a
23:57lap ago it's a 54-1 and hurlings goes
23:59through a 52-2 and we're down to 2.6 seconds everybody hanging over the fence red bull ktms
24:06borge prado honda hrc petronas jeffrey hurlings prado may have just even though yeah okay he's being
24:14caught here i was going to say stepping it up a little bit but so too is jeffrey hurlings
24:18i think oh you see a mistake there but i think jeffrey thinking about how this plays out he got
24:23to a place where he can see him now and you can kind of take a breath regroup a little
24:27bit because
24:28the hardest work has been done you've got back to him now you can actually think about how do i
24:32attack
24:33him so it doesn't shock me to see him have a little bit of a wall here before he goes
24:37in for the charge
24:38when you think of uh how the final couple of races in the u.s you know um played out
24:44in america and
24:45how good prado was and now you see prado run wide he makes a mistake and you see the intensity
24:51and the
24:51urgency of jeffrey hurlings where would you have stacked him up if he did a full outdoor season
24:56riding at this intensity jeffrey hurlings at the front any any race on this planet i put him at the
25:02front so this form yeah i i can't think of anyone that would beat him i mean hunter warrens was
25:08fantastic this summer but i hold jeffrey hurlings in an incredibly high regard when he's on form and
25:14he is on form right now and he's all over the back of jorge prado yes there's a little bit
25:18of traffic
25:19here they don't know whether to look left right or straightforward fortunately prado gets up the
25:24inside of the first one that's trey cox to the outside hurlings finds his way through as well he's a
25:31bite length behind the spaniard belgium are still leading the nation's classification by two points
25:36it'll be three if hurlings does them a favor and finds his way past prado here and he may do
25:41it
25:41towards the end of the lap oh he gives him a bit of a love tap can't find his way
25:47through taylor hamill
25:48there of gb wonders what on earth is just rocked up on his rear wheel what a race we have
25:56had here
25:57oh he tried to cut that was smart by prado prado knew he was waiting for it
26:04and hurlings goes tight again yeah these two these two are not buddies this is uh this is about more
26:11than just a race win watch this here a moment ago prado knew that it was coming he just parked
26:20himself
26:20there he's probably done that move himself a few times smart riding from both riders hurlings knew that it
26:26was possibly coming as well yeah and you know prados he's he's run up front his entire life incredible
26:30one of the best starters in the history of the sport so he knows better than most how to ride
26:34defensively he knows where the passes are likely 149 foxhole shots i think in his mx2 mxgp career in
26:40europe sounds like a lot he likes that outside line but it's the shortest route that's quickest and i
26:45think if hurlings is quicker closer a lap from now if he's not already found his way past
26:50that might be his uh up the sleeve kind of pass calling card he's kind of been in just full
26:55attack full attack mode i think maybe if he thinks about where can i make a pass on prado and
27:01approach a little bit more calmly like who am i to tell jeffrey hurlings how to do this but right
27:05now it's just full attack mode i don't know if if he doesn't make it in the next couple laps
27:10i think
27:10a plan may be the the best approach prado has to go inside here and defend hurlings has the freedom
27:15to move around the racetrack a little bit more prado has the uh radar on and hurlings stuffs down
27:23the inside prado gets out of it these two of history from germany remember all those years ago
27:29around the outside hurlings gets the power down and uh riding to defend hurlings is not going to have
27:35any of it he launches up the inside god brave riding that from prado he kept his nerve he held
27:41it
27:43but hurlings goes around the outside prado had enough of that prado is just like you know what
27:48you want it that much i don't know if we're going to win this thing or be on the podium
27:53but all of a sudden hurlings has just pulled the pin and said i'm not looking back
27:59lap 12 hurlings goes through yeah prado realized he was probably about to be on the ground if that
28:05continued talk about bully boy tactics wow what a performance the problem is and he's been down
28:12well and the problem is he needs that spot they sit three down you you know like obviously he didn't
28:19want to relent relinquish that spot but they need it desperately if they want to win this motocross
28:23nations well if it stays like this with uh jeffrey hurlings leading the way and prado there in second
28:30and everts in third kunan in fifth belgium are going to be taking the chamberlain trophy back to
28:39belgium for the first time since 2013 where is garcia he has only moved one position all race from 13th
28:47to
28:4812th and this was always the thing we said this if it's close between let's say france and spain the
28:53two favorites coming in this was the scenario that we were looking at where you had potentially roman
28:58fevere and uh tom biel as the big hitters because garcia would be the unknown on a 450 against the
29:04uh
29:04sort of uh the weight the prado if you like and it's easy for to sit here and say well
29:10he needs to
29:11get watson he needs to get beaten well you've got the the mx1 australian champion and beaten and you've
29:16got one of the best british riders in ben watson it's not an easy feat for garcia to go up
29:21and pass
29:21those guys but if they want to win the motocross the nations that's simply what it's going to take
29:26well this has been absolutely mesmerizing from jeffrey hurlings he launches downhill 13 laps
29:31complete for the honda hrc patronus rider from the netherlands he doesn't just want to win this race
29:37he wants to obliterate everybody and he's up the pace but so too has uh jorge prado because he does
29:44not
29:45want a riding lesson from the man in orange there at all
29:50so he's going to try and up his game and try and apply the pressure because he doesn't want to
29:54hide
29:54it 30 seconds in the first race that he put on everybody else jeffrey hurlings prado doesn't
29:59want to be part of that step yeah and prado tried to answer a little bit here i just don't
30:02know
30:02how sustainable that is i think jeffrey kind of weighed up a bit as we see adamo that's looks like
30:07he uh took a tumble there yeah well it came up on the lap time a minute ago that uh
30:11a minute and
30:12eighteen so he's obviously cut the course somewhere just to get back to pit lane very very quickly
30:17so uh italy then at a contention of a podium jeffrey starts to stretch it out we see fevere
30:24still circulating in fourth there yeah roman fevere it's been a tough day at the office for the french
30:34but uh riding with his heart on his sleeve as always roman fevere at this event he was nice and
30:38happy and smiley and relaxed even sipping tea in pit lane afterwards well how many times have we seen
30:44it go in the french's favor over the past decade or so and this this year just everything went the
30:49wrong
30:50way for them think about those races like majora there were so many opportunities where you had
30:56no idea who was going to win and the french were able to find a way luck typically evens itself
31:01out
31:02reverts to the mean a bit and it really felt like that today well coming into this weekend of course
31:06and it's not done yet of course we've got still two and a half minutes or thereabouts
31:11still to run in this race but uh the usa had 23 victories that is the most in the history
31:17of this
31:17event since 1947. team gp with a massive run but then nothing for 27 years and then nothing in the
31:24last 32 years gb on 16 belgium with 15 they will equal great britain's tally if they take home the
31:32chamberlain trophy today they will do that for the 16th time they will go second joint in that trophy table
31:45australia of course the defending champions they're going to be looking at night overall here this
31:50weekend with jet beaten alex larwood aaron tanti and belgium the last time they won it toy chantal germany
32:00back in 2013
32:04lamanda sal jeremy van horby kender dyker can liam evarts sasha kunan lucas kunan write their own little
32:13piece of history here by standing on the top step of the podium
32:19people were giving them an outside chance but not much of a chance because of the
32:23we weren't sure on the fitness of lucas kunan this was the story of hurlings and prado
32:30hurlings knew he had to be decisive here he did he got up the inside prado read it well he
32:34went for
32:35broke and launched downhill with a little seat bounce hurlings got up the inside again here
32:39thought he'd got the job done prado muscled him again that's incredible defense i mean he gave it up
32:45right after that but unbelievable and then a lap later he got around the outside no this lap yeah yeah
32:51just right after then yeah that's right yeah then he sat up and he let him have it and now
32:56he's six
32:56and a half seconds behind how many times do we see that when uh when he doesn't have a chance
33:01of
33:01winning he just backs off it's very much roman fevers like that as well if he goes into the final
33:06lap
33:06and just thinks you know what he just sacks it off and that's it there was another point there
33:11potentially if you are in that battle right from the very start yeah you're on the podium but you're
33:15within a point you're within a point of the win now it's two points because you gave up the lead
33:21yeah it's hard to say right like maybe he was on the limit and said this is going to end
33:24in tears
33:25but wow did you need those points just goes to show how strong mentally and physically jeffrey is
33:32and the combination of him and the honda that we've seen time and time again this year 22 race
33:36wins in the season in mxgp and he's adding another two here and just looking kind of back through the
33:41field garcia's one second down on beaten and fevra has found his way past ever he's taken that point
33:47away here's how he did it if garcia can get to this is getting really in the corner or hit
33:52neutral
33:53and all of a sudden we're down to one point you got you got prado in front of hurlings all
33:58of a
33:58sudden they're even that's how tight it is half a second behind beaten at the moment it is not done
34:04with three laps to go is it belgium or is it spain they're going to be standing on the top
34:09step we do not
34:10know this one i can't remember a closer finish to a nation's in a very very long time majora 16
34:1916
34:19yeah fevra passed tommy so half a lap to go for french to knock the netherlands off that's probably
34:24the close second web goes down the last lap that derailed them as well and they're already riding
34:30a man down with after what happened with jason anderson after he won the race and couldn't line
34:34up in race two a lot of pressure on web shoulders that day in race two in the final race
34:38race three
34:40going to be interesting then keep an eye on garcia he is four seconds down on the beaten
34:50they're going to be urging him on where is kunan well kunan if he finds his way past
34:56everts that doesn't matter they're eight seconds apart that's still going to be four or five points
35:00for those two in belgium at the moment they've thrown away that race one score of a 12th place from
35:09sasha kunan other than that there are three a seven a couple of fours and a five as it stands
35:14right now
35:16and that one time that everts decided to go inside is when he had that moment
35:20yeah and you really can't fault everts here you know fevra was ahead of him
35:24he's wild carding here on the 450 so i certainly don't blame everts here but every point counts they're
35:30incredibly important message on the board to evarts bring it home two laps now does he know that that's
35:38bring it home the trophy bring it home or bring it home on two wheels and we're still in with
35:43a shot
35:43bring it home he may or may not know i don't know the messaging right now yeah right now it's
35:48a win
35:49but that could change so very quick i don't think there's much he could do about it anyway okay it's
35:53hard
35:53to imagine he's going to go past fevra back well if he doesn't find his way past his work is
35:59done
35:59here so we just keep an eye on garcia and beaten they're now 3.8 seconds apart so beaten has
36:05to
36:06stay on track here for a top 10 finish and not allow garcia through the second rider for spain
36:10the second rider for spain has to stay on track here for spain has to stay on track here for
36:15spain
36:16smiley faces down there in team belgium at the moment but try and contain it at the moment try and
36:22contain it as well because could be premature but they're enjoying the moment as it stands right now
36:28yeah an incredible showing regardless there were so many question marks around lucas kunan what would
36:33he be able to do would he be able to to do anything sasha huge crashes on saturday two of
36:39them in fact and
36:39they have been really strong here on sunday right evans dealing with a a lapper here just saw roman
36:49fevra just ahead of him beaten and garcia that gap still going back out to 4.1 so
36:56marker trying to stay out of the way
37:00as evans goes by in that fourth position on the number 12 for belgium
37:06back end stepping out we saw that from hurlings earlier on in the race but except
37:09it went the other way in that same turn
37:17well in terms of seasons lucas kunan and sasha kunan both had the opportunity to be crown world
37:23champions in mx2 and mxgp till the wheels fell off and it derailed their title hopes but how cool would
37:29it be if they can stand on the top step of the podium here for belgium and win the peter
37:32chamberlain
37:33trophy last motocross race in europe for them to likely assen next year what a way to send them off
37:40still not done yet though we are into the final lap hurlings eight and a half eight nine seconds clear
37:45of hoy a prado fevra another ten further back ever steady four seconds behind him
37:50no celebrations for jeffrey hurlings not a chance not until he knows he's home and dry and he will
37:57equally uh he'll equal stefan evans with six class wins at the nations what a year for that guy
38:05i didn't know what to expect in 2026 big team change he'd only been on red bull ktm his entire
38:10career makes the switch to hrc patronus honda and reinvented himself truly and you look at this
38:18race the start of the race it wasn't great he was around about seventh floor right he was a good
38:21few
38:22seconds off the lead he got himself into contention then fell coming out of that long left hand off
38:27camber turn he lost more time and picked himself up a little so he celebrates there at the top end
38:32of
38:32the circuit once twice he's just got the downhill and the return and then the final left final right
38:40downhill again to the finish line and jeffrey hurlings is on his way to a one-one here at urnay
38:53garcia has been passed by gifting and that opens the gap for belgium so there are no but no nervous
39:00moments hurlings goes one-one he wins the nations outright he wins the open class the netherlands are
39:09going to be on the podium against all odds in third overall for a prado across the line in second
39:15and that's going to be a podium for spain's second overall but it's liam evans who is going to charge
39:22downhill for belgium his fourth place finish is going to win the peter chamberlain trophy belgium are back
39:29on top of the world he doesn't know it yet he's about to find out to find out it's going
39:36to be
39:36pandemonium down there in pit lane evans over the line kunan over the line that is it belgium are
39:43world champions what a nation we've had it wasn't done until the final lap and then it was helped
39:53when gifting found his way past garcia belgium on top of the world
40:01sasha kunan there patten his older brother and evans
40:09a few choice words there but you know what i'm not even going to apologize for him
40:13it's emotional down there think about lucas he hasn't ridden all summer he he lost what any chance
40:19at a world championship midway sasha the same loses out crashes his way out of a world championship
40:23championship what a bounce back what a way to end what was a disappointing summer let's let's face it
40:29it was a disappointing end to a world championship for them and here they are
40:34team belgium on top of the world sasha kunan liam evarts lucas kunan team manager joel rulance
40:45everybody behind the scenes there that helped make it happen congratulations guys and girls
40:54your first win since 2013 toy chantal germany when it was commander sal jeremy van horubik and kender
41:00wow yeah this is great we talk about the protagonists of these motocross nations so
41:10often the french team is so strong usa trying to get back in the fight the belgians that just as
41:14you
41:14mentioned have been out of this thing for a while and serious contention to win that ends now that ends
41:20now these guys are for real their last podium was uh atson 2019 they were second overall that day
41:30they rewrite their own bit of history liam evarts sasha kunan and lucas kunan and joel rulance
41:40as they win here in urne garcia stalls on the final lap ferrato moves into 12 just to add further
41:46pain
41:47to spain's weekend but spain are on the podium for the first time in their history that was what they
41:53wanted at the very least they finish in second but it could could have been theirs it was there for
42:00the
42:00taking yeah that's uh i think it was unlikely we knew we knew for the long term that belgium was
42:07going to
42:08be in this thing but when lucas kunan hasn't ridden he can't even promise you that he's going to be
42:12able to
42:12finish this event you see it what it means to him you see the emotion in his face can barely
42:18walk you
42:19see the wimp there um yeah this you don't have to be a fan of the belgian team to be
42:23a fan of this
42:23moment lucas kunan as you said barely able to walk needing assistance a massive limp he has put
42:30everything on the line here this weekend for country they came in with a an outside chance
42:38on the basis that we didn't know where his fitness levels at whether he'd even get through practice
42:42and then up line up as we saw with michael harap and team denmark not able to line up and
42:47if that's
42:48the case you don't see any of this but he's ridden through the pain and it is an emotional win
42:54for him
42:54more than anything else yeah they're first and you wonder first of how many because they're not going away
43:02well the podium is always epic here
43:0716 wins now they tie with team gb in the history of this event
43:1226 wins now theyidar worth walking is evident
43:1222 wins now you go on for some reason
43:1226 wins now you right so i hope sorry
43:12i will take you time
43:1330 wins pro win
43:1320 wins
