00:00Let's bring in Mahek Cook, attorney and CEO of American Frontier Strategies.
00:06The president is laying all of this at the feet of his predecessor.
00:10He says the Biden administration made it too easy to enroll in Obamacare and even even incited people to enroll
00:19new new claimants, even if they weren't necessarily legitimate.
00:25Mahek.
00:26Well, John, that's correct.
00:28I mean, remember, Obamacare was there to help the worst of the worst people that were in poverty that really
00:36needed help and government aid.
00:38And what did Joe Biden do?
00:39He came in and he ensured that there were lax laws so that immediately somebody that is now a health
00:46care provider, I call them fraudulent fixers.
00:50John, they came in and they were motivated to get people on the Obamacare exchange.
00:55So they not only stole identities of individuals, they changed people's status when they didn't even know that they were
01:03enrolling in this health care.
01:04And then they continued to collect checks.
01:06And the only reason that we know about this fraud is because President Trump has flipped the script.
01:12No longer does government own us.
01:14They owe us.
01:15They owe every taxpayer money because we have been robbed blind from all of the Democrat policies that have allowed
01:23for these lax laws and not enough oversight.
01:26And that's what President Trump is bringing back.
01:28I can't remember the last president who said you we overcharged you and we're going to give your money back.
01:35That's what businesses say.
01:36That's what successful businesses say.
01:38And that's exactly what President Trump is doing for taxpayers today.
01:41Take a look at the chart in 2021, the first year of the Biden administration.
01:45There were 12 million people on the Obamacare rolls.
01:49By 2025, that number had doubled 24 million.
01:53So it's, I guess, understandable that the administration would go looking for fraud there because of the way so many
02:02of these people were enrolled.
02:05John, you're right.
02:06And many of the enrollees weren't even asking for health care.
02:10They had never visited a doctor.
02:11So you start scratching your head.
02:13And first you say, how did that number double?
02:15That's the first alert as a compliance attorney I look at.
02:19If you're spending 12 million and then it's doubling and then you remember the open border that Joe Biden allowed,
02:25millions upon millions of illegals to come into our country, less checks and balances.
02:30That screams fraud.
02:32And then you start looking at some of these fraudulent fixtures and you start realizing they're making millions of dollars.
02:38So this is exactly what we needed.
02:41Every time I look at tax season, I know my business is being audited and it's time to start auditing
02:47Washington.
02:48And that's what President Trump did through Doge.
02:51And that's what he's doing through every single program.
02:54But the numbers just don't make sense.
02:56And any time that happens, it's a red flag.
02:59And this is why we need more audits in government.
03:02That checks and balances works both ways.
03:04And President Trump made that announcement in the great state of Ohio, where I live in.
03:09So people are excited to get that $500 back in my state and 30 other states.
03:14We're finally being recognized because many of us have been saying, John, we're being overtaxed.
03:19We're being overcharged.
03:20And there's fraud occurring.
03:22And President Trump is the only president who actually listened.
03:25The vice president is talking about how the fraud was established.
03:30Listen.
03:31What happened under the Biden administration is that we created a brokerage program whereby we would pay a broker, I
03:39think, $25 if they enrolled somebody in Obamacare.
03:42Okay.
03:43Sounds reasonable.
03:45However, we would also, at the same time, we massively relaxed the eligibility criteria and also the checks.
03:52So imagine what happens when you make it much, much easier to enroll fraudulent people in Obamacare while simultaneously paying
04:01brokers to enroll people in Obamacare.
04:03You get a lot of fraud.
04:05And that's the fraud that they're trying to claw back now, Mehek.
04:11John, that's right.
04:12These are the fraudulent fixtures.
04:13I mean, basically, what the Biden administration did was say, we are going to incentivize you to go out and
04:20find as many individuals that can enroll in Obamacare.
04:23And then, essentially, you're getting a kickback from enrolling individuals.
04:27So you are seeing massive amounts of fraud because, again, many of these individuals didn't ask to enroll, didn't even
04:35know that their health care status was enrolling.
04:37So, instead, now, in the future, what we really need are codes for individuals that are actually enrolling so that
04:43they can check a box and say, yes, I need to enroll in Obamacare.
04:47But that wasn't occurring.
04:48So anybody on the side of fraud could essentially say, I'm going to enroll hundreds and thousands of people and
04:56make millions of dollars at taxpayer expenses.
04:59And President Trump is putting an end to it.
05:01At 25 bucks a head, yeah, you can see why they would want to get as many people enrolled as
05:06they could.
