00:00A popular garden centre in the Bradford District could be expanded to create a new children's play
00:06barn and cafe as part of a £1.5 million investment. Yorkshire Garden Centres has
00:12revealed ambitious plans to expand its centre in Harden, a development that will double its size
00:18and create 20 full-time jobs. The expansion would include the opening of a new Grasshoppers
00:24indoor play centre. A public consultation was held this summer and a planning application
00:30has now been submitted to Bradford Council. Although the garden centre is based within
00:35the Greenbelt, the application argues that the expansion will be on previously developed
00:41land. A decision is expected in December.
