Dion Dawkins shares why yesterday's loss isn't the end of the season, but an opportunity to learn what needs to get better.
Transcript
00:00Well, Dion, we're just getting to know each other.
00:03How are, at the risk of asking somewhat of a trite question,
00:07how are Mondays different for you after losses?
00:13Mondays are, like, they're tough in the beginning, and then they go.
00:18Like, yesterday was, you know, a tough day for the boys, but it's over.
00:24Like, you know, we all had a couple of mistakes.
00:26There's been a lot of, you know, but Mondays are, they're here and there, man.
00:32You know, like, we all want our, like, Mondays to be victory Mondays,
00:35but it is what it is.
00:38I guess that's sort of what you either feel naturally
00:42or just what you come to know playing football is when you win.
00:47Like, last, we've talked to you for a few weeks now, all after wins.
00:50And, you know, you're on to the next game.
00:52And maybe that's a good thing when you lose,
00:54is you can just sort of go right to the next game.
00:58Literally.
00:59Like, the wins are great, but sometimes the losses are even better.
01:03You know, like, we, we, nobody's meant to be perfect in this world that we live in.
01:10And nobody wants that perfect story.
01:12You know, it is, it's a beautiful thing to, to go through losses like this in the beginning of the
01:20season
01:22and better to go through them at the end.
01:25Because now we know exactly, you know, what went wrong of the little things.
01:29Maybe it could have been, been a, a call here or a miscommunication there
01:35or just the wrong set to get your body off balance.
01:39Like, anything.
01:40It could be anything.
01:41But, realistically, in, in this world, you know, wins and losses.
01:46And sometimes the losses do a better job than the wins do
01:50in certain ways of thinking about it in a championship moment.
