Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas is currently cycling over 350km through Malaysia to Singapore for the next grand prix.

While other drivers travelled via private jet, the Finnish driver who currently drives for the Cadillac Formula 1 team started his journey after Sunday's Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sepang Circuit and has made his way through rural roads, cutting through plantations and dirt tracks.

00:01While other Formula 1 drivers travel by private jet, Valtteri Bottas is taking an unconventional
00:08route to the Singapore Grand Prix, cycling more than 350km across Malaysia.
00:14The Finnish racer, who drives for Cadillac, began his journey from the Sepang International
00:19Circuit following Sunday's Bahrain Grand Prix.
00:23The 37-year-old has been riding along rural roads, through oil palm plantations and across
00:29gravel tracks, sharing updates of his adventure on social media.
00:33In a post on Tuesday, Bottas said he was taking the less-travelled gravel roads, even if it
00:39meant covering a longer distance.
00:41He also shared videos of himself cycling during the day and at night, using a torch mounted
00:47on his helmet to light the way.
00:49On the second day of his journey, Bottas reported covering 161.9km in 5 hours and 46 minutes,
00:58following a 56.6km ride on the first day.

01:10of the public sharing footage of spotting him along the way.
01:13Bottas is expected to take three days to reach Singapore, arriving in time for media commitments
01:19on Thursday, ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix.
