00:00The girl saw an interesting lounge chair online, but since it was too expensive, she decided to
00:04build an even cooler one herself. First, she had her younger brother lie on the ground so she could
00:09draw the dimensions of the lounge chair. Then she had him weld a frame based on those measurements
00:13and placed it on the workbench. Next, she brushed resin glue onto the wooden boards and glued them
00:18together. After they were glued, she secured them to the frame with woodworking clamps to shape them.
00:23The curved sections, she cut the square tubing into a spring-like shape so it could bend at any
00:28angle. After a lot of hard work, everything was finally secured in place. After letting it dry
00:33for three days, she was able to remove it from the frame. After checking its strength, the girl took
00:37out another frame and brushed resin onto more wooden boards. She secured them using the same process.
00:43Once they had dried, she removed them from the frame and sanded them smooth. Next, she drilled holes in
00:48the boards so they could be assembled. She added some resin to the joints to hold everything firmly
00:53in place. After it dried, she sanded everything smooth again. Then she marked the positions on
00:58the wooden blocks and drilled holes. She inserted wooden dowels into the holes. Finally, she wove
01:02rope around the dowels. And just like that, the lounge chair was finished. But her mother thought it
01:07was too big. So the girl had no choice but to put it in the backyard. But she didn't give
01:12up. Instead,
01:13she redesigned the chair. After deciding on the perfect angle, she made a new frame. Then she took
01:18the leftover wooden boards from the previous project and glued them together with resin. She secured
01:23everything in place. Once it had dried, she removed the frame and sanded it smooth. After finishing
01:28the main beams of the lounge chair, it was time to make the slats. The girl made a template out
01:32of
01:32cardboard, but her father questioned the design. So she redesigned it again. After printing out the new
01:37design, she glued it onto a wooden board. This gave her a template to work with. She marked the
01:42measurements and drew the pattern onto a large wooden board. Then she cut out the pieces. Once they were
01:47finished, she arranged the slats neatly and marked the center lines before drilling the holes. Since it was
01:53difficult to drill them accurately, her father made a handy drilling jig. That made the process much
01:57faster. First, she installed the base of the lounge chair. Once that was finished, she began installing
02:03the slats. Finally, she gave everything one last sanding. And just like that, the slatted lounge chair
02:08was complete. It looked both elegant and incredibly comfortable. Would you have liked a lounge chair like
02:13this?
