00:00A British Airways flight from London to Chicago has returned to Heathrow after an emergency
00:06descent over Ireland. Flight BA295 dropped from about 37,000 feet to 9,000 feet after
00:13what the airline calls a technical issue. Oxygen mass deployed inside the Boeing 777,
00:19and the pilots transmitted the International Emergency Code 7700. The aircraft then turned
00:26back towards London, circling over the Bristol Channel, before landing safely at Heathrow
00:31after about four hours in the air. British Airways says passengers left the aircraft normally,
00:37and it is helping them rearrange their journeys again.
00:40The airline has not yet confirmed what caused the emergency.
