00:00Where does this rank? I mean, you know, the Miracle Mets and the, I guess, that 88 Dodgers who you
00:05inspired.
00:06Right. Supposedly.
00:08All thanks to Tommy Lasorda, recalling what you said on the pregame, are, you know, two of the miracles of
00:14baseball.
00:15How about this White Sox team? Because Scouts are looking at their roster and saying, this isn't that good a
00:20team.
00:21Right.
00:21They shouldn't be doing this.
00:22Right. Well, a team that lost 100 games or more three consecutive years, once 121 losses, this isn't like a
00:31progression.
00:31It's from the basement to near the penthouse all at once.
00:36But of course, without disparaging anything that's going on now, it is what it is.
00:40We live in the present.
00:40But winning a division or getting the wild card out of one of three divisions is not the same thing
00:47as the Mets, who had never finished higher in their existence than ninth.
00:52And every other year they'd finish 10th, winning 100 games, beating Hank Aaron's Braves three straight in the LCS, beating
01:00one of the best teams of all time.
01:02The Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson Orioles in five games in the World Series.
01:07That's a whole different deal than being the wild card of the AL Central, beating a 500 team in the
01:13Astros, then turning around and playing a team, the Guardians, all due respect to them, from your own division.
01:18And you land in the LCS, one step away from the World Series.
01:22Now, if it happens that way, it's quirky, it's entertaining.
01:25And the White Sox deserve all the credit for picking themselves up off the mat and getting to where they
01:30got.
01:30But when you look at the real effect of it and how it'll go down in history, not the same
01:35deal.
